Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Hey guys I went for a nice ride today through most of the small towns south of Cambridge today. The drive is more of scenic ride and not really as fast as the one on Thursday but its nice. I figured it would be a nice Saturday morning relaxed ride (250 friendly) and we could end it by going to eat at the Brantford airport restaurant.

The route I took would probably start in downtown Gault and still has quite a bit of fun back roads and curves. Is that something that you guys would be interested in doing sometime?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Would be fun I guess........
Thought our last group ride was 250 friendly as it was! Nothing crazy happened on that ride beyond Dean the Machine's phantom implied group wheelies..

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

haha... nice. What were you doing out in the straight and boring? I grew up in Huron Park just north of there...

I was coming back from Sarnia (visiting family). Didn't want to take any of the highway to worked out an alternate route. :)

Since then I'm doing one that takes me through Grand Bend.. and also there is a road north of the 401 between London and Stratford that is full of S turns @ 80km/h limit I found once. I was in my car that time but I marked it for a later trip on my bike.

It's this stretch. I don't remember which area of it has the S turns exactly. It looks straight on the map and some of it is, but the S turns were fun in my car going 90 I can't wait to do it on my bike.

It probably was i think the reason I got left behind was a combination of not knowing what to expect and my inexperience.. But if there is interest i will lead the ride will probably meet downtown gault near the brewery. Sometime in october weather permitting.

I know that road well. Runs right by my Dad's place. Try this one, it's better. Has fewer stops plus you get to to do the big Wellburn curve.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Anyone in for a Yahoo Hockey pool?
I set one up for the Kitchener guys and if not enough intrest I will put it out to the rest of the forum.

Draft is Monday @ 7pm. You can draft live or have your team autopicked.

If everyone wants we could make a money pool as well (Maybe $10/person) or just for fun doesn't matter

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

That's what bars are for! ;)

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Isnt that what the forum is for?

Ya but its fun when your team is beating down someone elses lol

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Agreed. **** talking is better in a hockey setting, or a bar.

And so much easier with all the Leafs Fans :D

Lets End Another Frustrating Season

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I cheer for the Habs and Sens just to piss off all the Leafs fans. LOL

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I'm a Sens fan too...where are all the Leaf Blowers?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I haven't been much into hockey since the big strike. I really only watch play-off hockey, where I cheer for every Canadian team. When they're out, I cheer for the US team with the most Canadians. hahaha

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Hab fan hear..although im not much into hockey and i dont understand how pools work..

Habs fan here as well.

For the pool there is a list of every player in the NHL, On the draft day we will go one by one and pick players till our teams are filled (Once a player is picked he cannot be picked by another team). If you don't show up to the draft the computer will pick your team for you by the highest ranked player available.
Every week you will play against a different opponent in the pool and at the end of the week it will tally up your points in all the catergories and you will receive 1 point for every catergory (Goals, Assists... they are listed) you have accumulated more points then your opponent in.
