The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

That's why I also mentioned leaving space. Everything is situational. For example I would move to the right if there was a merge lane, because of how many times I've had an idiot in a car decide that 3/4 of the lane was enough to merge into next to me.
%100. I am extremely nervous driving in the HOV lane for this reason. Especially if it's moving along at 80-100km/hr on the QEW and cars beside are stopped or crawling. I am white knuckle driving with both hands on steering wheel ready for quick avoidance action from the number of times I've seen cars cross the solid lines and sneak into HOV.

Collingwood today. Cop vs civilian. Not sure who screwed this one up. I can't imagine t-boning the drivers door was intentional.

Here's the full video...

Rider 1 lane splits through, Rider 2 takes the shoulder, Rider 3 is in the video.

As for blocking position, ya...no. I don't do 'blocking' position when riding beside what's a very slow lane. There's always some idiot that jumps out without checking. I take the lane position furthest away from the slow/stopped traffic to allow myself space to stop, space to see them, and decrease the angle needed to escape trouble without slamming into the guardrail.
That off ramp lane on SB 404 is always an accident waiting to happen because it's so long that every self important asshat will pull out into it and then try to merge back into the SB lane at the very end to be 750m ahead. Everytime I'm on that off ramp I'm doing no more than 20km more than the traffic on my left no matter how clear it is in front of me.

24 yo kills a 16 yo on a minibike in Vaughan at 22:45 last night.

"Harnoor Chauhan, 24, of Vaughan, was arrested in connection with the crash and charged with dangerous operation causing death, failure to stop after an accident causing death and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Chauhan was “bound by a release order” for unrelated offences at the time of the incident."
One of the previous offenses he was on bail for was flight from police. Obviously Harnoor is a slow learner and needs a huge ass kicking.

Maybe this will also make vaughan crack down on mini-bikes. So many kids ripping around on sidewalks at over 40 km/h without helmets with absolutely zero enforcement.

11 pm, probably no lights on the minibike. Lots of factors play in. Clothing he was wearing. Did he run/roll the stop sign? Both of them? Speeds? I don't know if you can put it all on Panjeet. Heavily weighted, sure, but hitting someone who legally has no business being on the road to begin with is a pretty grey area.

I am giving him crap for running after. As you say, insufficient information to lay blame for crash.

Everything is fun until this happens. Take a stand to ban unlicensed motor vehicles and you’re being mean

Truck driving school in Brampton. Obviously not big on pre-trip inspections nor maintenance. It's shaking out their fillings but no worries, hammer down.

Bonus points for camera operator holding their phone while driving.

Some of the worst drivers that I've seen in Brampton are solo drivers with driving school signs displayed, which heavily implies that they are the instructor.

I wonder who this moron is related to. Drove through a wall and into a store and police are calling it a mechanic malfunction with no charges laid. About the only malfunction that causes that is pedal confusion.

Insurance companies will be all over this.. If they claim there was a malfunction with the vehicle.. kia and others (transport Canada, etc..) will be in it as well..
if there's any sort of cover-up.. it'll come out.

Brampton representing yet again. Tractor trailer crashed on 401 in London. Three counts of breach of probation for a single interaction. Who wants to bet that the courts will give him probation again with the same conditions? Sure, he ignored the first three but you can't impair his right to make a living. /s Grr.

"A 46-year-old man from Brampton was charged with three counts of breach of probation order, operation while impaired, resist peace officer, fail to surrender CVOR certificate and driving with open container of liquor."
