The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Once they have dug a hole too deep to get out of, might as well just keep digging in the current system. Can't drive from jail is likely the only option to stop the cycle.

At the same time they didn't lock up a multiple violent offender after a sexual assault with an outstanding arrest warrant in NL--that guy murdered a 16 year old at Keele Station. Last judge (just weeks before the murder) sentenced him to sexual sensitivity sessions or some other nonsense. So these drivers are likely way down their don't make no nevermind list....

The number of drivers with multiple lifetime suspensions is shocking (many pulled over with three or more every single day). Why even bother? If they already have one lifetime suspension, further suspensions are literally not worth the paper they are written on and a waste of time to document. If someone is in court and already has a lifetime suspension, they obviously haven't learned and correction (or if you prefer societal protection) needs to be ramped up.
The legal provisions for imprisonment, on subsequent convictions, needs to be used more often. The only time such people will not operate a vehicle while impaired, is when they are physically incapable of doing so.

Having green lights significantly smaller than red ones is an issue during power outages. Many people are assuming that because they can't see it, it's green.
Edit:
One example of five that occured on the short trip.
This guy was on his phone, and I guess he assumed that it must be green, since he couldn't see red.
He hits the brakes, puts his phone away, and pulls over when I lay on the horn.

Was the driver just along for the ride? He didn't touch the brakes.

Thinking he/she was actually lucky to hit that heavy classic. If not he would have launched off the berm behind and ended up through the wall of the auto shop behind....or worse.

I think the opposite; that nice survivor of a Chevy might be totalled, whilst the sorry excuse of a "driver" gets to keep on being a road hazard. At least if he/she hit the berm/wall, there might be one less moron on the road after...

My dad wrote off one of those '55 chevs in a collision with a dump truck.

Going to show this to my eldest. He takes his corners too fast.

Sergeant selfie stuffed it on the 401. I've seen conflicting reports but apparently he was cooking up the left shoulder beside stopped live lanes to reach an accident. Hit something that wrecked the wheel and then swerved over and crashed into a vehicle in a live lane. No mention of the incident on his twitter.

I keep telling people this sort of thing is why you don't use the breakdown lane as a driving lane but if even OPP can't understand that, I guess I give up.

You should see them go on the Eastbound Gardiner near South Kingsway. You'd think they had bullet proof tires. Don't fall off.

My guess is they mistook the gas for the brake. Car is not slowing down so they hit what they think is the brake even harder....

Not familiar with this car driving wise but most of those unintended acceleration problems of the past were due to this, commonly when the pedals are shifted slightly left (compared to other cars) due to a wider centre hump in the floor.

Also seems to be highly correlated with people that choose to buy Toyotas and Buicks.

Definitely hit the brake. Back when he was going to rear end the jeep that had stopped to turn into the event. Might have lost the brake pedal and found the gas when he did the swerve at the same time.

It's 2023. I wouldn't put money down on that (or any) car having a clutch.
Pretty sure that's a prius (~2017) in which case it does not have a clutch and 99% chance it is driven by a moron.
