Just one lapse in judgement..
Reading the comments on YT it seems to be a pretty good split about how people feel about this.
I will say (in my opinion), they made a bad choice and paid for it.
I think Forrest Gump said it best...
A bit more than one but I get what you mean. They were driving quickly down a dark road that was well signed as closed (you need to drive around the signs as they are blocking the road).
I was following a blue Mini back on why 48 near Kirkfield yesterday afternoon... he was speeding up/slowing down weaving and so on -- I figured he was texting or impaired. An open stretch of road appeared and decided to pass. Curious, I pulled alongside him, he wasn't texting, but he was clearly distracted by the gal with her head in his lap.
I went to throw him the middle finger when I finished my pass... but some instinct took over and I ended up throwing him a thumbs up.
Some geniuses near ottawa. My favorite is the 17 year old that just caught his 3rd 172 in 9 months (142 in a 70). He posts his exploits in social media. Close runner up is the g1 driver with a suspended license and no licensed driver in the car and no insurance.
In total, 47 offences were issued for infractions ranging from speeding, cell phones, improper mufflers, tires and brakes and four charges of driving while suspended.

It's possible that the 17 yo doesnt have any convictions yet as it's only been nine months so insurance isnt brutal. If the parents know and fund the moron, I have no problem with them getting dragged into the eventual lawsuit because the kid hurts someone.
G1 person has no insurance. Seems reasonable for cops to keep the car in impound until you present them a valid slip. If impound fees exceed blue book value of car, it gets liquidated and nothing further is owed.
The parents of the kid with 3 172s in 9 mths are definitely enablers. Tell me how they don't noticed that junior's car is missing for 2 weeks straight, twice (now thrice). That they don't take the keys away and make him walk his dumb ass or beg friends for ride is beyond belief.
Cops know straight away when they run the plate whether you have insurance or not.

Drunks have been doing it for as long as there have been impaired driving laws. Beg, borrow, or literally steal a family member's car once you no longer have your own because, "How am I supposed to get around?!!!!!"
Good ones today.
Suspended driver 2x with no insurance (I saw this one pulled over)
G2 driver already convicted of dui speeding in a car without a breathalizer
5x suspended driver behind the wheel again performing stunts.
If someone follows you, let them follow you to the nearest active police station, and don't get out to confront them.
They probably have better cameras for picking up license plates at the cop shop.
Edit: If they follow you home, even if they don't confront you at the time, they now know where you live.

Years ago I was pretty sure that I had someone following me home, on my bike, so I went past my house and turned up another side street. Sure enough the car turned right behind me. I had chosen this side street carefully, because it ran parallel to one of the creek parks in Brampton. Thing about these parks is that they have paths from the parallel streets, to the parks. I turned onto one of these paths, rode across a foot bridge, then kept riding on the footpath until I got to a street that would easily get me home.
The car? Yeah, it stopped right in front of the park access and was still there until couldn't see it in my rear view mirrors anymore.
Just because you're paranoid, that doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you.
*EDIT* For those interested, the bike was a '95 GPz1100.

I've done similar in the past. Going along 401 late at night, black range rover starts flashing high beams at me. No idea why. Adjust mirrors to check rear tire pressure and it looked fine. Followed me down DVP. Followed me onto bloor ramp. I opened a big gap on the ramp and ducked into dale ave as there is a rabbit Warren of tight turns with bad sight lines. Lost him. Drove to gf apartment.

Back when I had a BMW K75RT, I had someone freaking out at me, on the 403, about my "high beams." Waving out the window to drop them, constantly tapping their brakes to flash the lights at me, you name it. So I gave them a quick flash of the actual high beams. I thought they were going to lose control.

A Windsor driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash that injured a motorcyclist and assaulting a police officer once caught, police say.
OPP and paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision around 7:49 a.m. Saturday between an Audi and motorcycle on Manning Road in Tecumseh.
Police say the Audi driver ran away from the scene. Officers found him a short distance away and say he assaulted an officer during the arrest before he was taken into custody.
The officer was not injured during the arrest.
Police say investigation found the man was driving on Manning Road and hit a portable toilet. He kept driving and then rear-ended a motorcycle, injuring the rider.
The motorcyclist was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 30-year-old driver from Windsor has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failure to stop after an accident, mischief under $5,000 and assault with intent to resist arrest.
216 in an 80 on woodbine in an SUV. Moron. I still disagree with roadside seizure but consequences after conviction obviously need to be much higher. I have no problem with vehicle forfeiture after conviction for 100+ over.
