Terrorist attack in the factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier

but it was stable... each pillar in the family depended on the following to survive as well as to maintain order.

So i guess there were no single mothers or fathers pre-20th century?

Thats my point this idea of a core family has always been a myth family situations across the planet have always been diverse and complex.

single mothers and fathers were rare... super rare in the east and the africas. even if the spouse died family pressure would ensure remarriage in most cultures.

skyrocketed after WW2

Given high mortality rates from illness and other factors (such as people just walking away from relationships)..no they were not

so you are saying divorce rates did not take a massive boost after WW2? cause thats what i am saying.. it rocked a stable boat.

before WW2 in REST of the world.. single parents were mostly due to death or some uncontrollable aspect... after WW2 divorce started to play a increasingly major role.. due to clash of personalities.. to a point where today divorce/abandonment is a major contributor towards single parenthood if not the biggest.

btw in islam if you have 4 wives and they have one child each.. they take 1/4 of your assets each plus you need to pay for their maintenance till they marry if you haven't paid their dowry(wedding gift usually given at the time of the marriage to the bride form the husband) already.

Sure but does that has to do with the changing laws on divorce. Divorce in the Uk was only became something the government had a say in 1857 and it wasn't a particular egalitarian law until later reforms

not in asia or mideast or most parts of africa... divorce has been under religious and cultural scrutiny even the legal format nowadays takes culture and religion into account in those regions( most cases).. they do represent most of the world soo

If thats still the case like you say then why did WW2 have an affect on them and i would like to see your stats shows that divorce sky rockets in these places after ww2

before world war 2 india was a princely state.. and after it was third world untill 2000's.. govt offices only started using computers completely only recently.. if you wait a decade or 2 maybe they will convert every record to digital format... then we can have accurate results...

no because i know its true .. divorce is considered a stigma even today... same goes for the asian cultures and the african/mideast cultures.. ironical divorce was more common in mideast than any place east of afghanistan till world war 2
