I'm so glad to hear he's doing better. My heart and thoughts go out to him and his loved ones. Keep fighting, Daryl!!

hi everyone! it still amazes me every time I come home from the hospital, that Daryl has soo many messages awaiting, WOW.... I will always try my best to update everyone thru his facebook I will always try my hardest to get back to everyone as well as all of the other updates will help everyone to keep you posted daily for Daryl's day to day 'journey of life'.... A little struggle for Daryl today as from his seizure the other that had caused his brain to swell abit more from where the doctor wanted it to be. however, once again, this continues to just be 'one of the little bumps' in his roller coaster ride to life.. and he will overcome it! This morning it was surprising to see a little tv of cp24 playing perhaps to stimulate more talkative response for him. hey, we usually wake to city tv Daryl and I each morning, but i'll take cp 24 right now! lol I told him that he can't always get his way. lol. they had 2 physio nurses in today to work on his muscle movement moreso the legs and the left hand. again, it's not his 'spin' classes at the gym but I chuckle because i'm sure he loved it. he was more swollen today, however, again, the bumps were all going thru. next step now is to take the tubes out of his nose and into the throat for better breathing response. this will be the next fews days of action for Daryl, as understood they will move him to the critical unit now and start more physio with him for more alert response. Daryl is still fighting and I believe will be stronger than ever. I continue to still believe in my heart and soul that he hears all words, we just need Daryl to now actively start responding more to commands on his own and in due time again I always say, he will let us know when he's ready. HOPE, FAITH AND TRUST are the words of strength and the power to LIVE..... hope this helps everyone for today's update with Daryl. as always, please continue to pray and send your words of energy and positive hope that I know Daryl feels every single day and night! Update on Daryl - no real change for Daryl today. They were hoping to put his trach in today but he got bumped due to a trauma. Hopefully tomorrow.

He is still holding his own and fighting the good fight. We all love you Daz. X

I don't know Daryl personally and had never had a chance to ride with him, but I am reading these postings about him daily. I am praying for you Daryl and hoping to hear more positive reports on your condition. May our healing savior heal you completely and put you back to normal!
 
c'mon Darryl come back to us buddy,Sending healing rays your way.Thinking about ya and my workers are even in the loop cause I talk about you so often.
 
Similar to Cooldude, don't know Daryl, but reading these posts I've become very interest in Daryl's recovery. Please post updates as soon as you guys know.

Ok Daryl, you gotten out of the honey do list long enough. Let's go buddy...it's been to long since we have had the Friday night wings and pop.

We will be riding this weekend thinking and praying for you man...see you soon!!

Hi I am Daryls mom, I don't know how to refer to you people I just know you are a large group of people who obviously Daryl loved I hope you don't mind but I referred to you as his biker buddies and after these last three weeks I have realized what a large group of people you are but I shouldn't say people I should say a very large group of loving and caring friends and for that I thank you dearly. I have never seen him so happy as he was when he started racing, he even told my daughter Tracy that if he came off his bike whilst racing that he would die a happy guy and that is what keeps we going. we are really hoping for the very best for Daryl, but are prepared for the worst. Please keep sending your prayers for Daryl. And thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and all that you have done for the family, We love you all. Please feel free to come and visit Daryl any time I am sure he would love it and we would too.God Bless xx

hi to everyone to soo still awaits some sort of update, answer or just simply something about our Daryl! each morning waking up and each afternoon and each night gets more and more difficult for all of us! PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.... I soo wish I could post to all of you that Daryl just opened his eyes, woke up and smelt the coffee! lol he stills sleeps like a bear who hibernates.... one of the doctors who has been following Daryl's request wanted to meet with me today... it's very difficult for them to give any direct answers.... the one 'vote of confidence' however in all of what daryl is going thru, is that time is still on our side... to 'make the right and what is truly the right decision to make, one will always question.... in my heart and mind and they support today is that we still need to think about the options for Daryl. thank you sooo much to my sister in law who has fortunately worked this same critical ward at this hospital what a coincedance and has truly tried to still stay with me and my beliefs of some sort hope and miracle however the dark side is always the known that she knows has been a difficult one for me to face.... thank you elise for arranging this as I soo did not want to but made the step further today on my own to what could 'possibly be'..... this doctor is arranging our family meeting for hopefully Thursday afternoon where we can all get possibly more questions answered for daryl and ourselves. he is arranging for one of Daryl's neurological surgeons who has been there since day one with Daryl's journey. let's continue to pray for Daryl's best wishes! I am still not giving up this fight with him! I will continue to stay stronger than ever and fight with him till 'whatever the unknown' thank you to all that still hold this belief with Daryl and I am still truly amazed as I get more strength from everyone who still believes there is some sort of miracle thru your words of courage and a fight to still live.... daryl will let me know somehow, someway and someday what he chooses! thanks mom and dad for still believing in me and my brother larry who calls me endlessly each day to help me get thru the moments, I love you so much for hanging on with me! god is holding your hands daryl..... hang on pleasssseee !!! Daryl has out up a hard fight and its time he go and rest peacefully.
Daryl now needs to go and rest in heaven.

Daryl, wants to be cremated and have his ashes spread at the track.......you'll see him every weekend.

Keep fighting daryl. Dont know you either but pray for you and really hope uiu gight through thid tough time. Remeber ppl are prsying for you. This msg comes from East Africa as I moved there recently. People are praying for you across the globe. Alot of my family members are also praying for you. Good luck bro.

I don't know why Daryl's brother posted that, but I'm sure that a lot of people such as myself cried their eyes out last night thinking that Daryl had passed away. :(

Daryl is still fighting the good fight, and I believe, hope, pray, that he'll wake up soon. I've done a lot of looking into traumatic brain injury since Daryl's accident, and if there is one thing we DO know, it's that doctors DON'T know how each individual will do.

Please remain optimistic and supportive for Nancy, Ryen, and the rest of his family and loved ones.
