SOAR racer Daryl Ironmonger

You are an awesome guy - I am sure you will get a kick at reading this thread once you get better
 
I went to see Daryl tonight at Sunnybrook.

He is surrounded by his family and his wonderful wife Nancy. The Dr and Nurses are providing minute by minute one one one care for him.

The next 24 hours are critical for our man, he needs all our well wishes/prayers/thoughts for him to pull through.

I will go visit him tomorrow and will keep you updated

Update on Daryl. As many people have asked I thought I would give an update. Daryl is still the same, and at this point that is a great thing. We are hoping to be able to speak to the Dr today to get more info. Please keep sending your prayers, positive thoughts and comments. The whole family has been reading them and we are OVERWHELMED by the love being shown. You are all wonderful people. Thanks. Xx

Thanks so much for the updates guys much appreciated and to his family it's easy to show love for a fellow like darryl
 
Big D is a tank. He will pull through. Like also of his family says, he's stubborn and won't anything bad happen!
Come on buddy, enough sleeping!

Met him at a track day, and he went well out of his way helping me find a replacement part I needed, despite being a complete stranger...
You get well soon big guy -- all the best wishes and good mojo being sent your way!!!

Update on Daryl - as they say no news is good news! The Dr's have met with Nancy and my parents and advise that Daryl is at the start of a very long road! They will start to reduce his drugs as they see fit and monitor his response and see whether he wakes. We also don't know how severe the his brain injury is.

At this point we have no idea how his recovery will be. We will all have to take it one day at the time.

Thanks once more for your support. Please continue to pray and send positive thoughts he is in no way out of the woods yet.
