Shopping list for 2013 track season

Was that the super fancy car that crashed into your truck and trailer? Damn that was epic. Sorry for all the damage! If he could afford a car like that I sure hope he's covering your out of pocket $$$!

Unfortunately that was me.

What happened?

And bakaboy, not sure if you know that girl in the second picture but if you do, damn :)

I believe he owned the truck and trailer that the Benz encountered.

That's what I thought too until TAFB wrote up about the Mercedes paying up and bukaboy saying that was him...

No I was the one with the F150 with a bent frame, the cargo trailer with the bent frame, a generator that was new this year but now shaped in a U Shape, and 3 race bikes with varying levels of bodywork damage and bent handlebars. My total so far (and the bikes aren't fixed yet) is over $ 9000. The bikes will likely be $2000 on top of that. To boot we weren't able to race that weekend.

The good part is that my 12 year old was standing with a friend at the time and wasn't trying to get in the truck or check on the dog right at that point as the MB pushed the truck and trailer (8 to 12 feet forward and sideways).

$9000 out of your pocket? Nothing from the Benz owner?

How does something like that happen??? Usually you see chicks with rediculous heals doing that. Saw one put her car through the side window of a Esso car wash. F*** he isn't paying up? Do you have his info?

Too much horsepower and not enough driving ability. Hit a bump while drifting the car through the main gate and lost control. Promptly asspacked the trailer that was parked on the grass next to the access road.

I saw some other pics of the Benz. The damage was actually much worse than it seems in the two pics in this thread.

Nothing says duche like drifting out of an exit of a track complex.

Why aren't you going through insurance for the damage?

I have a RaceTech GS-3 custom, without a remote preload adjuster on an 08 1kRR, the preload adjuster is a PITA because the rear hugger gets in the way. Had to take a hack saw it the hugger anwyays to be able to get warmers around the wheels, but 2 things I find:

1.) once your preload is set correctly, you don't need to change it
2.) the adjuster (on mine anwyays) has an allen key slot, so if you can't spin it by hand you can spin it with an allen key socket. Maybe the elka has something similar.

What are your guys' thoughts on the Elka Stage 3 shock?
How badly is a remote preload adjuster needed?
Apparently, they're tough to adjust once installed on the CBR's?

Well, I got some from him. But that is another story. And he isn't happy about it. And I put the truck through my insurance eventually. When it is all said and done I will likely be out the cost of the bike repairs.

In the end, I end up being the bad guy.

He's not happy about being a dumbass and driving his car into your rig?

That sucks dude. If I was in your shoes I would hope he'd pay for every last cent of repairs.

Last Riders Choice track day in Spetember. I had pulled out of the paddocks and parked out in the grass to go home to get my other kid and wife to return for the weekend. We were helping a friend load his bikes when it happened.

Mr. Mercedes is lucky you didn't report it to the cops. He could have been charged for that even on private property. What a sack of s*** bet you he's pis*** cause he like most others that own high end cars, don't really own them.
