I didn't find it all that gut-wrenching or inspiring, but it was a pretty good action movie based on true events.

sometimes I cry myself to sleep at night...

Devils Due....saw it last night. Horrible. Yet another horror movie shot in ...wait for it.... a combination of surveillance cameras and pov cameras.........

how long will this last

I blame that blair witch garbage for that camera style. In the world of 4k TVs why do directors make us watch crap that would look just as good on an old tube box.

Because it's cheap to shoot and, therefore, makes a great return on investment for the producers.

Don't blame the directors. Blame the people paying for it

And that, in a nutshell, is that. If we keep buying tickets for crap, we'll still keep getting crap. Remakes are another symptom of this disease and I've sworn them off. It's also pushed me more and more to so-called New Media, essentially making me buy into productions like a producer. If I want to see something get made then my money is on the table, to help it get made.

Watched Don Jon on the weekend. Tony Danza was hilarious, and Scarlett Johanson is smokin...

Most of the movies I paid for in theaters have been great. I emphasize MOST because some are made by bad judgment

LONE SURVIVOR.
Intense. Recommend to all military theme action movie lovers.

I've seen damned few movies in theatres lately.

Last 2 movies I saw in the theater were The Cying Game, and Aliens.

Was sick all weekend, so I cocooned on the couch and watched movies.

I Declare War - It was entertaining. Was expecting something lighter, and was pleasantly surprised at the ruthlessness and evil brought out in the kids. A lot of parallels to Lord of the Flies.

The Bling Ring - Uh, the houses they burgled were nice, but you can see that on HGTV.

Europa Report - Will watch pretty much any Sci-Fi. This one is entertaining. Nothing cheesy, and the science is plausible, if not probable.

jOBS - Too hard to get over Kelso playing the part of Steve.

Cineplex on Queensway in Etobicoke has just recently opened up their new VIP section with 5 cinemas.
All feature huge comfy seats (wide enough to fit two people actually), in cinema snacks by a menu service and ALCOHOL!

The best part is there are no kids allowed.
Loved it :D

P.S. $25 for a single admission.

Uhh no.

Screw that **** and the "every single movie played in 3D". Its so frigging annoying when trying to watch a 2D movie and you cant find any decent times, and no, its not because people want to see it in 3D, its because its a huge money maker.

The same projector is used whether its a 3D movie or a 2D movie, the glasses cost 10c, and they charge you $3+ for a 3D movie.

$25 to see a movie....instead of lowering the prices to attract more people they raise it. Cool, i'll watch my 55" surround sound TV just fine at home, not like back in the day when the diff between cinema and home entertainment was huge.

Yep.. No movie theatre is gonna come up with a more comfortable setup than my living room

Grudge Match - Dull and boring
Catching Fire - Not bad, but not as good as the first

I go to the movies for a different reason.
It's the excitement of unknown.

That's the main one for me. When at the movies you face different atmosphere: unique smells and sounds you can't control, faces you don't expect, situations you can't predict... This alone provides you with thrills. Good or bad - don't matter. The new experience always counts.

Plus you get to witness total strangers experiencing the same emotions as you are at the same time. That's just a bonus for me to check if I haven't gone mad completely yet. :-D
