Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

.

That's the main one for me. When at the movies you face different atmosphere: unique smells and sounds you can't control, faces you don't expect, situations you can't predict... This alone provides you with thrills. Good or bad - don't matter. The new experience always counts.

You sir have not sit next to someone so pungent, it burns the nostrils

I go to the movies for a different reason.
It's the excitement of unknown.

Plus you get to witness total strangers experiencing the same emotions as you are at the same time. That's just a bonus for me to check if I haven't gone mad completely yet. :-D

I go to see the movie, as do most of my friends. I still laugh when I remember going to see "Return of the Jedi", of so many years ago, when one of my friends got so ****** off at all of the people who wouldn't shut up that he stood up and shouted, "YEAH! ****ing muppet is dead!" during the Yoda death scene.

Machete Kills - Pleasant surprise. Watched it expecting for it to be even worse than the original, but they decided to do away with serious crap and just screw around/have a bit of fun. It worked!

Fortunately it's meant to be bad, and so doesn't take itself too seriously. I have to admit that when Alba got up on the car and started her political speech, during the first one, I almost went blind from rolling my eyes.

I've never found her to be attractive. Don't know why

Rush - enjoyed the film... Hemsworth isn't really known for his acting chops but it was balanced out on screen by Bruhl who did a great job of playing Lauda. Do yourself a favour if you're not already familiar with the real life adversary and racers and save the Google after watching the film.

Captain Phillips - enjoyed this film as well. Hanks puts in a great performance and some nail biting scenes at the end even if some parts felt like a commercial for the US Navy. Google this after watching the film to learn about the take from his real life crew on the situation.

I really liked the movie rush as well. It was a... different movie. It almost felt like an older timeless movie.

Exactly... This time RR went back to his roots and got an entertaining result.

If you are a Larry David fan you will enjoy Clear History. Its basically an episode of Curb, except Larry is playing a different character, but really the only character he plays. Really funny in that classic sienfield/curb way.

Ender's Game. I enjoyed this one and should have watched it in theatres. When I saw the trailer I thought "pffft! Harry Potter in space, big deal!" Then I started hearing it was actually a decent movie so I watched it last night and was really surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Rush was goooood! Loved the scene with Lauda stuck in country side Italy with a woman he just met (his future wife), their car broke down...

"My car is your car. On one condition, huh? It's a piece of ****, it's dogshit, but if you would drive it, you make my life. Huh, Niki, yeah?"
:lmao:

LONE SURVIVOR.
Intense. Recommend to all military theme action movie lovers.

+1. I wasn't sure going into this one, but it was great!

Also saw "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" movie with Chris Pine and Kevin Costner. It was pretty good too.

LOL....my favourite scene hands down as well. Something about the way the two guys were screaming "Niki Lauda, Niki Lauda" like little girls had me laughing my *** off.
