Saw Enders Game today as well. Good waste of a couple hours. Pretty predictable but a good flick.

Escape Plan - go into it without high expectations and it's a good flick.

Watched Ender's Game. It was pretty solid. I never read the book so I can't say which is better.

I was beginning to think Harrison Ford was losing his marbles, but he can still pull it off on screen.

As majority of the time, the book is infinitely better. They skimped on alot of the battle room stuff which was a huge part of Ender's development in book. Just one amongst other omissions.

Otherwise, the movie was OK.

Or read the book and then forget that there's a movie. Hobbit, I'm looking at you.

What is the likelihood of someone trying to tackle the Silmarillion? Will Peter Jackson try (and ultimately butcher it)? If it ever comes to fruition, it will probably just one of the million stories in the book (I'm guessing Beren & Luthien cuz u know...love story).

I would like to see the Silmarillion on screen though...butchered or not.

"Lord of the Rings" was three 3 hour long movies. "The Hobbit" is being stretched into three 3 hour long movies, though it could easily and fully be done in one. "The Silmarillion" would be a HBO series with a one hour run time, five days a week, that would play out over 20 years. I never made it past about page 300.

haha.

If they focused on only the MAIN characters (yeah which one right?), it could be reduced to 10 years. :)

The Lego Movie - Awesome. Genuinely funny throughout. Who doesn't love a movie made out of lego?

I want to see that. The trailers I've seen with Will Arnett voicing Batman are hilarious.

Space Channel has an interview with him, about the movie.

Gravity - don't think I enjoyed it as much as all the critics but overall I think well done. The story is simple but it works for this movie and I never really got attached to any of the characters. The visuals, however, were really well done and once in a while it's nice to watch a movie that doesn't drag on for 2 and half hours.

Robocop. Was so-so enjoyable. Went in with low expectations. Bike looked cool. Made me want to ride mine really badly.

I bought a 55" 3D tv a couple of days ago. Already watched Avatar 3D and Imax Deep Water 3D, liked the 3D of these two. Any other non-animation recommendations?

Beren & Luthien would suck monkey balls when there's so much better stuff to choose from...

The fall of Morgoth and his fight with Fingolfin would be badass, even the fall of Numenor and Elendil's coming to Middle Earth would be a compelling storyline as well especially because we get to see them in the original trilogy but don't get much background info.

I enjoyed Robocop and Lego movie. Both are worth the time. Lego movie kept confusing the hell out of me though, but I think that's the point.

Have you tried the Playboy previews?

Yeah, this sums up Robocop nicely. The plot jumps around a bit, but good acting from Oldman and Keaton. Decent cast holds it together, bike was cool.
