I liked it in general as well.. They layed it on a bit thick between Riddick and Johns, but all in all solid action. Could have used a bit more of a horror element.
A bit testosterone filled. I don't understand what happened when Riddick met with a few members. What did he tell them that made them different?

Could have lost the electronic rubber dog. Could have lost the, "I'm so hard that I turn lesbians" crap. Could have done without a hundred other little bits of crap.
I don't think she was really lesbian. She wanted to boink Riddick in the end. She was just doing that to fend off the men

They way that it was handled was needlessly clumsy and it added nothing to the movie. It struck me as adolescent fantasy crap.

Just watched Captain Phillips. If you like suspense/drama this is the movie for you. Tom Hanks doesn't disappoint. Gives a perspective why the pirates do what they do. Based on actual recent events

I'm guessing this was posted already... but I just saw On Any Sunday. It was pretty good, worth a watch!

Scenic Route

Tensions rise between lifelong friends Mitchell and Carter after their truck breaks down on an isolated desert road as they start to attack each other's life decisions with unwavering brutality.

Watch before going on a road trip with your buddy!

Man of Steel

Not too shabby, the amount of cameos and known actors in that movie is mind blowing. Good action, not too many stupid parts.

Escape Plan.

Not a bad action flick, has an 80's storyline feel to it. Leave the brain at home, and just enjoy the show on screen. Some nice one-liners from Arnie.
If you wanna see it in theater's, go see it on cheap night.

Recently saw 'We're the Millers'

And enjoyed it, laughed quite a bit. Good to see if needing a cheer me up or easy thinking flick.

Can't wait for 'Bad Grandpa' looks like good laughs.

Ran out of newer movies to watch, so I saw "Any Day Now" last night. Great acting by Alan Cumming; the movie was great, I wouldn't call it a tear-jerker, it's realistic and subtle, not slamming the drama in your face all the time, but overall left me emotionally drained for the evening.

Are we here mentioning only movies currently running in the theater, or any entry is allowed?

Anything that you recently watched is a good start.

Not really the "I saw XYX back in 1989 and you should see it now" but more like "I caught a re-run of Unforgiven, great western, check it out"

Otherwise it turns into a debatable cluster**** of what movie's are good/bad. At least these reviews are fresh in your mind.

Sidenote: The Heat, with Bullock and that funny fat chick. If you liked Bridesmaids or whatever, you'll like it. If you're a regular guy, only watch it if she insists and you're getting laid.

But what if you're a regular guy who liked bridesmaids?! ****

This thread is a godsend right now. I'm flying standby and got stuck overnight.

Sucker Punch decent action-type flick. The main character's the royal finest. From reading the description, you'd never think that the movie would be like that (unless you saw the trailers). Great soundtrack.

Rush was good - would watch again. Except during that scene where Lauda was trryin to put on the helmet, I couldn't help but think at how he could've just sized up one lol.

Two Guns was surprisingly good and I laughed a couple of times. Wahlberg's actually a pretty funny dudeI can understand why Gravity gets such raving reviews. It also has an above-average score/soundtrack.

Spring Breakers was ehh. Cinematography was good, but the movie itself was nothing special.

Just saw Bad Grandpa today.... Had some hilarious moments.

Overall a fun movie with some heart to it.

Haven't seen them yet but I remember their was an automotive film festival a few weeks ago where they were previewing 'Senna' biofilm of Ayrton Senna Da Silva (cant wait to watch!), Easier said than done (Rally documentary), Black air (Buick GNX documentary), Grand Prix and Rush albeit it will probably be inaccurate. Recently saw "A Haunted House' and it was funny for a Nick Cannon movie.

+1 can't wait to watch it

Saw Project Nim yesterday (http://www.project-nim.com/). Amazing documentary of the life of a Chimp called Nim, the subject of experiments into cognitive behaviour. Sign language and all that but the documentary is so much more than that....I had it on the TV (movie chanel) in the background but ended up completely galvanised by it. If you're an animal lover there's a lot in this documentary for you, some sad parts too, but even if you're not, the callousness of human behaviour and the occasional coldness of pure science comes across really well.

"The Conspiracy" - I think that time has run out for 'found film documentary' films, but this one is pretty good.
