Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

RUSH Fantastic movie, very entertaining. If you are not an F1 fan or don’t know anything about that time period you’ll likely enjoy this flick even more. That’s because to make it appeal to such a wide audience they have compressed the time, changed up the order of some events and left other stuff out altogether. Make no mistake; this is not a documentary, docudrama or any type of attempt at a true historical record. It is however a very well done film that captures the essence of the main characters, the time period, the complexities of the relationships and the life or death realities that were part of the sport.

The getaway was an absolute waste of time, horrible acting by hawke & Gomez, the Shelby was a super snake that couldn't out run a police cruiser through the whole movie
 
OMG!!! Just finished Curse of Chucky! BEST CHUCKY EVER!! The 1080p "WEBDL" version of it is a little strange, some of the scenes it's like they forgot to anti-alias it or something, just a strange look to it. Audio is awesome, LFE on the shower scene is nuts :D
 
RUSH. What Stephen W. said. I new all about the individuals and events of the '76 season. If your aware of this, then just go in with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. If your not familiar with the sport or the events depicted in the film then it's a great ride and gives you an insight to that great time period in GP history. My niece wants to see it, might just have to stump up some extra coin and see it again.

It's actually not as bad as everyone said it is. I went in thinking it would be terrible. It was okay. Cheesy as heck. Beginning was kind of awkward as you get used to his son's fake accent. But it's alright. Like PP said, kid's movie.
 
PAIN AND GAIN! OMFG what an awesome movie, 100% my style :) If that's really a true story, man that is absolutely f'ed up!!!
 
Just saw Pacific Rim. Some really awkward moments I would have liked to fast forward, but overall I really liked the movie. Special effects are insane :)
 
Lol I saw pacific rim last night. I laughed at half the movie. Sooo bad. Best line regarding gipsy immunity to EMP:

"It's analog. Nuclear"

Contagion. Good fairly realistic and pretty plausible thriller. Don't watch if you're a germophobe as you will probably not want to leave the house without donning your Hazmat suit.

The Purge

Good: Interesting premise gives you plenty to think about during the movie.
Bad: Rather sit there thinking about the movie than watching it (ok maybe not that bad but lot of silly moments).
 
I watched Riddick. I don't understand why they would put down such a good movie.

Loved how detailed they get with the characteristics of each planets. On this planet everything seem to be a predator, not surprised because there are no plants on the planet, lol.

Much like the First "Pitch Black"

I liked it in general as well.. They layed it on a bit thick between Riddick and Johns, but all in all solid action. Could have used a bit more of a horror element.

Could have lost the electronic rubber dog. Could have lost the, "I'm so hard that I turn lesbians" crap. Could have done without a hundred other little bits of crap.

Hey, the electronic rubber dog was the only part that my wife liked (and probably put in precisely for that purpose) :D
