Okay... So, the huddled masses who are calling for other's defeat are normal and the guy who is trying to mend fences and calm for cooler heads is the crackpot?

I have heard him speak and read many of his articles and essays. He seems to make logical, rational, and cogent arguments. He is the kind of voice that the Muslim community should be encouraging to speak for them to outsiders. Seems to me that Islam has a PR problem; yet they silence voices that might actually help with this issue.
