It's not a matter of not understanding, it's a matter of how much crap do I need to buy and store? It's really that simple. As an example, I have brand new 10yr. old Honda generator in case of ice storm. Only ran once to check. Should I have life raft in case of flood? Could happen. Finally ditched snowblower I use once a year. Took up to much motorcycle space.
Then there's the person living on their 30th floor 400 square foot condo with no storage allowed in the garage. What do they do with the off seasons? End tables?
I think hell just froze over.....Nokian WRG2 all weather tire outperforms winter tires? In winter? Edmonton Police seem to think so.
Edmonton is not a fair comparison to Ontario , and GTA specifically. I just flew home friday from Edmonton, spent a week in North Alberta in a rental car with no snows. The very dry snow is different to drive on and when its -30 (for days on end) its not greasy like wet Ontario snow, they also gravel and sand the crap out of the road ways , since salt is useless in that temp so you have better alround driving surfaces, and not many hills in a prarie city.
The Edmonton local police also have a large number of AWD and 4wd vehicles at their disposal. The RCMP are mostly large sedans with snows, and they get the rest of the province to police.
Funny, I found a way to fit snow tires and rims on my car with "aftermarket" over sized brakes and the car has awd!!! With all seasons the go part was very easy, it was the whole stop and turn thing that made driving a 300whp car complicated.
Seriously, that's weak. Forgot to ask, how are you're arms?
ok i present geography, climatic differences, vehicle choice and road maintenence and my comaprison is weak. OK.....
and my arms are tired.

Exactly. He never responded to my enquiry as to what vehicle he has, so that excuse might be weak. You can usually go up a size or two in diameter to clear larger break rotors, and there are thousands of aftermarket wheels available out there. I went from 288mm to 331 dia. rotors on the front, and I had no issues with finding a wheel to fit.

LMAO! I once gave a toaster to a friend who lives in a Condo on Front Street. They gave it back to me because they have no room in their condo! Condo's and Winter Tires are two of the biggest scams.
