Sooo this guy, seen in most of the ROC videos which happens to be (I believe) the second guy that jumped off the bike and tried pounding the car... Is sitting on his bike again while Lien is getting stomped? What???
Check out the wife in the picture... its like 'honey, can you hurry up!! need to get to my pedicure appointment once you are done getting beat up by those lunatics..'
I would imagine the natural reaction is to grab her kid and run as far away and to get help or perhaps get out of the car and try to pull some of the bikers away from pounding her husband's face in... even though she might probably get beat up herself. But the way she is still sitting in the car and looking back is kind of odd.... its like 'thank god I wasn't the one driving....'
Off the top of my head I would think that she's leaning out of the door and screaming, "Please! Someone help my husband!!" while too afraid to leave her child unattended, in a mob of thugs.

If the motorcyclists really weren't at fault, there should be probably around 100 more videos of that ride before this incident showing how crazy this SUV was driving.

You might be surprised what a picture might or might not show. I take a lot of candid shots. I can make someone look like a genius or a schmuck, depending upon the moment that I choose to take a shot.
I probably missed it, but what did Cruz actually do?
He's the one who brake checked the RR and started all this. Can't tell from the video what he was doing prior to the RR fleeing.

Although that idiot Cruz guy started all this mess, but I think some of the charges being lay on him may not stick, especially that imprisonment charge... The DA is probably trying to get him to cough up his fellow bike buddies who are involved in the beating.
Base on the number of bikers the police are looking for, it doesn't seem like a whole lot of bikers are mauling the RR driver. But the media seems to be painting the picture that all those bikers were beating the crap out of him. If that was the case, chances are slim that Lien would be able to leave the hospital within the same day. Perhaps some of the bikers in the group did try and pull some guys off and save the dude's life, despite the massive initial chase by all the bikers.

Roomie wasn't referring to Cruz, but Mieses or whatever his name is. The paralyzed biker is the one with the atrocious driving record.
Hubby seems to have been pulled out of the drivers side of the SUV and around to the back...wife probably couldn't see what was happening. That's what I take from that pic.

And no pictures of Lien's face have been posted. You would think that would be all over the news if his beating (which allegedly included knife slashing) was as severe as we are being led to believe.

I haven't read this whole thread yet I will when I get time. My two cents there is more to this story for sure and looks like everyone is in the wrong here and no one wins when things get like that. Regardless of what happened leading up to this if I saw a friend of mine run over I'd lose it I don't normally get road rage when its just me that's affected but if I'm two up or when a friend is put in danger I see red

The detention charge stems from the group stopping and blocking Lien in and the video doesn't seem to indicate that any of the riders were trying to assist him. Quite to the contrary his few defenders seem to have been bystanders, and rider interaction seemed to be geared at blocking him.

From what I saw there wasn't enough justification to run people over.
When I wrote that I didnt know he had a wife and kid in the car you csnt see them in the video.
So if your riding with your girl on the back and a car doesn't signal and doesn't look and puts you in danger you wouldnt get mad? Or same situation and sideswipes your friend in front of you and trys to run you would stay calm? Dam dude I'm glad I'm not your friend. I was in no way saying that anyone was right in fact after seeing other videos with this group I'm siding with the suv mostly.
If the suv didn't run over the bikers I find it hard to believe it would have escalated past angry words and perhaps a missing mirror. I mean who amoung us would outright attack someone in front of their wife and kid without a dam good reason?
If my wife and child was in the car and I saw all those bikes around me the last thing I would do would be to give them a reason. I would have gotten out and told my wife to lock the door behind me. That's how I would have protected my family not getting into a high speed chase with a hundred bikers
