Nissan has moved that goal post this year. Canadian prices are $104K for the Premium and $113.4K for the Black.

Bang for your buck, I don't think anything can contend with the ZR1 or the GTR. Zero to 60 times are one thing, all around performance (I think Ring lap times are a good index) is another.

Regardless, some people will still belittle the ZR1 because it's American... And only 2nd fastest around the Ring. Just like the guy that wins Olympic silver in any sport is a failure, right?

At a local Acura dealer I suppose.

Any road course tests yet? Zero to 60 times don't mean much.

2013 Auto Show

Ford Focus hatchback "titanium" model (just the regular loaded 5door focus 160hp version, not the high zoot super sporty 252hp ST Focus)

Wait for it......

$30,500 + taxes

:laughing3:

When i was shopping last year for a car, i realise how expensive it was. Plus it doesnt have that good a reputation.

You cant fit a full size adult at the back too. Unless he's a midget

Uncheck, cause it doesnt exist. When/If its built to those specs then you can say your Honda actually has a sports car. The question was does Honda have anything to compete with the Vette, a simple no would of sufficed.

"When will it be in showrooms? Ah, well, this is where the Acura people hedge, hum and haw. In Detroit, Honda/Acura’s marketing boss, Mike Accavitti, said the car will go into production in about two years. So 2015 or thereabouts? Ah, yes. Thereabouts."

Let us know when you actually own a Honda.

I think it's safe to say Honda automotive Racing is shut down. Are there any Teams in any classes left privateer teams excluded?

At face value they look like a green car producer. CRX wasn't stellar so NSX can float the illusion of having an ECOsports car for a few years.

I like the NSX concept. It could be a good 7's ring car in theory. but... it's a weird class of cars and it's more a one of them, than a Vet killer

Honda fields some factory touring cars in some of the European race series.

And unlike the i8 and Spyder, that you knew for sure the companies were going to produce, I'll believe Honda is going to build the NXS when I see pics of a mule in camo on public roads.

NSX engine development is currently still in the simulation stage. I'm not privy to any more details than that, but I suspect they are still quite a ways from pre-prototype mule engine. All of the spec's quoted above are engineering targets and subject to change.

Would take a C7 vette over the nsx concept any day of the week.

HA! did they say "super handling"?! Well, then, that's a double check for sure!!!

Everything projected by Honda has to be taken with a grain of salt here. I mean, it's a drawing.

Did you go to the Toronto auto show yet?

Sheesh I thought that thing was just made of putty

I saw it there last year. It wasn't a real car, and I don't expect it to be this year either. Just 'cause Honda made a cut-out version of their drawing, doesn't mean it'll happen, doesn't mean it'll deliver as promised. This is the company that abandoned the S2000, the Prelude, and turned the classic CRX into whatever the **** that abomination is now. (CRV?) I don't believe my mistrust is misplaced.

Fasten your OMG belt.......... 2014 McLaren P1.

plug in Hybrid--Twin turbo V8 with electric motor!

903hp! 664lbs/ft of torque!

Edit :

Corvette engineer speaking of the 2014 Vettes regular automatic tranny instead of a dual clutch automatic that the rest of the competition offers.... "no one sells a dual-clutch transaxle that can handle the LT1's torque"........ yet McLaren can offer one on their 664lbs/ft torque beast.

GM Corvette engineering tech at its finest.

:laughing3:

Every report I've seen on the P1 says it's going to charge via KERS, not plug-in. I think someone in Woking is having a bit of fun with they guys at C&D.

Comparing GM to McLaren is a bit ridiculous...talking about one of the most competitive Formula 1 manufactures.

Sounds to me like your "reports" were having a little bit of fun with you.

Business Insider says the same thing as C/D....

"the V-8 will automatically start to maintain drive and charge the battery, although the battery can also be topped up under braking or by using an ordinary household plug. The P1, then, is essentially a plug-in hybrid."

Leftlane.....

"although a full charge can be obtained in two hours by using a plug-in charger that is delivered with the car."

Guess we'll find out the real truth soon.
