List top naked bikes for me!

damn it, is there ANY bike in between the er6n, and the streetfighter? i mean there is a big ****in difference! problem is in Canada is hard to find one that looks good! i mean to my taste! :S

The Yamaha FZ8 has comparable horsepower to the Honda 599 you rode, although with a nice bonus of more midrange torque (the stuff that ultimately really matters for street riding) so if the 599 is your style, give the FZ8 a good look. It's a better bike.

What I'd do with this bike is remove the mirrors and replace em with bar-end ones from CRG, get an aftermarket can, and rid of the rear fender. Mean!

you know that is actually one of the bikes i was looking at! you guys are right... i didn't mean to be stubborn at all.. but i also believe that most of what i believe in is right!

675cc triple, sits perfectly between a vanilla Honda 599 and a 'too much power' (according to you) Streetfighter 848!

end thread:

i actually don't think the 848 would be too much power... the original streetfighter yes but not the 848... the whole point of launching 848 was less aggressiveness and power... the price though is quiet expensive:(

but yes i'm sorry you guys are totally right specifically about ER6n with 72 horsepower being a bit low.. well i mean it won;t be at the beginning at all but ye i will most likely outgrow that one... but just a touch more power would do it for me!

Honda neutered the hell out of that bike. It dynos a little under 110rwhp and 65ft-lbs... compared to 140+ rwhp and 75ft-lbs from the 1000RR which the engine is derived from.

Still potent, of course, but not what people (myself included) expected this bike to be. You get more bang for your buck out of the competition (Z1000 especially)

OH just remembered another one the SFV 650 Gladius !!! PLEASE let me know what u think of that one! thanks!

at z1000's price range, i'd go for the 848 instead... even though i LOVE the z1000!

Gladius looks like a bad Ducati knock-off to me.

I'd get the z1000 and call it a day. And I mean a single day, because I wouldn't have a license after that LOL!

A fun naked.........Figured the thread kinda went sideways and will try to bring it back. Is it a top naked? It didn't come to mind off the top but, for the right price, I wouldn't mind having one. But, really? For the price of one of these, I'd probably go with a monster.

I’d disagree with you on the reliability part with the Ducati street fighter but we won’t go there. The KTM actually had a couple of Achilles heels from expanding/warping gas tanks to leaking water pumps but your right build quality is generally superb.

The Ducati's are suffering the same issues with the tanks as they're both made by Acerbis and if you stay away from ethanol "enhanced" fuel, you'll likely not have a problem.

I LOVE my SuperDuke!

1. DAMN IT CANADA why did they stop with KTM???? maybe they'll start again in 2013 but this just sucks! no more Super Duke for me! (that is my dream bike to have)

SuperDuke's are out there, as has been shown in previous posts. Info has it that KTM is doing a pretty substantial re-design of a few bikes and will have a dealer launch this season some time and the new SuperDuke is rumoured to have an 1100-1200cc lump so you MAY want to wait.
