Would love to get on a Street Triple R, or Speed Triple next time around. Still infactuated with the nakeds...

Buell...if u can find one.

Got one too... I'd not recommend it unless you're mechanically inclined and don't mind waiting for parts.
Had to wait 6 weeks last summer for a new fuel pump to show up.

I had a belt go 2 summers ago and they told me it would be over a month to get one...a freakin belt...I ordered it from American sportbike in Cal. USA and got it in a couple days at half the price.
http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ have alot of Buell parts.
I've had very few things go wrong on my bike...just normal wear items really.

Oh man, after talking about BMW'S K1300R, Duc Streetfighters, Z1000's, SuperDukes, Triumph nakeds.... you are actually considering a bike such as a ER-6N? Give your head a shake, slap yourself and snap back to reality. :)

i am pretty sure, everyone seems to have covered everything so far. if i was looking for a 1000 cc bike, i would be in a toss up between the kawi z1000 or the triumph speed triple 1050.

If the OP is considering the ducati streetfighter 848, a couple bikes in the same power range i would recommend are, yamaha fz8 and triumph street triple 675.

Yeah, the Z1000 was what immediately came to my mind. Then again I could have bought any bike that I liked, within reason, but bought a ER-6n ;)

Has anyone noticed the Benelli TNT in the used bike section?
There's an oddball for you!
I think it was an '06 or '07 with less than 1000 miles on it but the guy wanted $9000 for it.

Kawasaki ER-6N 2009 (before 2012 - I don't like new style) that's good step up after 250, guess. I made over 40 000km in last tow seasons. Very nice bike!

Gen 2 (06+) FZ1 should be on your list. Very easily modded bike, and can be coaxed to produce way more power than it comes with out of the box. Pretty versatile too, goes from naked to touring in no time flat.

Ignore the bike on the right :)

And here, on my way to Utah:

Not necessarily top but if you liked the Euro 650s a ER-6N (I think these were sold here until 2010) or BMW F800R would probably be pretty similar.

If i would buy a naked bike right now my first choice would be the z1000 or the fz8 limited edition, i like the er 6n style and look but i'm not too crazy about the sound of the paral-twin.

I wouldn't compare it to what is "normally" referred to as a "600". This is no I4. It's a 650 twin. Although you probably knew that but just wanted to make sure you didn't think this thing had an engine similar to something like the FZ6 or, say, a ZX-6R.
