List top naked bikes for me!

And for the record, when I say you're wrong I'm talking strictly about this part of your post:

if you don't track your streetfighter, you aren't going to use even 70% of it's power in the streets..

You're totally allowed to be satisfied by a 650. For someone coming from a 250 Ninja, the 650 has a mind-numbing amount of power and will probably provide you with another year (or maybe 2) of fun riding until you feel the need to upgrade again.

That's cool, you're allowed to disagree. But you're wrong. You use the extra power every time you twist the throttle open. Just because you don't ping against the rev limiter in every gear doesn't mean you're not using the colossal amount of torque a 1098 Streetfighter has to offer from 2000rpm. The bigger engine makes it a better street bike. It revs lower, it has more usable power ALL across the rev range in ANY gear. In addition to this usability, it also has power to match a freight train above 6000rpm.

Your mentality is all too common and all too wrong. Sorry, but that's the way it is. Yes a 650 is "plenty" for the street. But so is a 125. So why don't you stick to your 250 then?

I'M too common? or YOU? !!! what you say is what everyone else say... there are not a lot of us who think a 650 is enough for the streets... how the F*** do you even compare a 125 to a 650?

just forget it dude i didn't create this thread to argue with your ***!...

btw, i weight like 130 pounds!!! a streetfighter would be a bit too heavy for me to pick up... if you can't pick it up comfortably, you never ride it!

thank you all for replying btw, this has been a blast!

You seem very angry at people who give you advice which you don't immediately agree with. Talk about a poor attitude.

If you already know everything, why did you post this thread?

If you took the time to actually read what they are saying. You'll realize the point is that the previous bikes listed have way more power in the rev ranges that you would use on the street.

This isn't about top speed.

 I don't know about the rest of the folks here, but I ride my bike, I don't carry it....

Judging by your ridiculous replies and incredible stubbornness and lack of experience and will to learn, you should be downgrading from a 250, not upgrading. :)

You started the thread with TOP naked bikes... aka the best ones. You also explicitly showed interest in an 848 Streetfighter. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here because you're new and you might only be looking at the engine displacement. But the 848 Streetfighter makes almost TWICE the horsepower of an ER-6n (130 vs 70). That's why some of us were confused about you getting giddy about the Kawi... it's basically half the bike of the other ones you listed, and I wanted to point this out to you in case you thought you'd get similar performance from an ER-6n.

okay fair enough.. let's just be friends and talk nicely lol..
you're talking power, speed, i don't care man! i love to RIDE! i'm not racing rossi in the streets like i said!
i have ridden a Honda Hornet in the swiss alps... loved it.. i don't think i'd ever would get tired of that feeling!

Ohh don't worry, you will

But look at it this way, at least by buying a 650 now you leave yourself lots of room to upgrade in the future. If you jump on the big bikes now you'll have nowhere to go later. The gradual upgrade route has its merits, that's for sure.

lol WTF "THE ROAD WARRIOR""? haha

i'm starting a thread about this to ask more people... always good to talk with experienced people... we'll move this somewhere else.... let this be it's own thread lol cheers!

You just don't get it man, you are not getting what the more experienced riders are trying to explain to you, you are extremely stubborn.

Oh by the way, that Honda 599 makes around 100hp. The ER-6n about 70hp.

The ER6 will deliver its power lower and sooner, but it runs out of steam long before a Honda 599. Just something to keep in mind, since you've ridden the Honda and seemed to like it. The Kawi is a fair bit less powerful!

thanks, you're right, i mean big difference between 72 and 100! that might be a bit low compared to what i got used to in Switzerland :S **** ! lol
