List of guns in the ban proposal USA

The law abiding citizens that like sport shooting and hunting are not nor have they ever been the problem. When the 2nd amendment was written, long guns fired 1 round every two minutes and a sabre was considered handier.

I suppose freedom of speech shouldn't apply to radio, tv, and internet... seeing as those didn't exist when the 1st was written.

Slippery slope indeed.

Do you want to have this discussion, or do you just want to pat yourself on the back?

How is that patting myself on the back?

Lol...I watched it to the end "the republic will rise again if you attempt to take our guns". Are you sure the video wasn't a redneck recruiting campaign?

Dude, thats an interview with Jesse Ventura, ex circus wrestler and host of a semi reality tv show called conspiracy theories.
Which credible witness will you march in here next? A couple Kardashian sisters to explain which purse will hold a Chiquaua and a S&W 45?

Uh, he was also a state governor.

I didn't watch the interview, but you can't discredit the guy quite so easily.

Me, less. His arguments and his methods are weak.

i didn't like him at all previously so "a lot more" is just relative. I'm also comparing him to his guests of late and he seems to come off at least a little above them.

I like Piers too. He makes gun control advocates look like hot-headed neanderthals.

You're telling me the Kardashians can string a cohesive sentence together?

Because it preaches what you want to believe, without any practival means for rebuttal.
If u actually watch the video u might find some valuable points to the discussion

Sent from my Phone, dont judge the grammar

Lol...I think you have that the other way round...were we watching the same videos with the screaming guests?

Not to put too finer point on this but the yank gun nuts would look a lot less nutty if they had sane, reasoned people making their arguments instead of chunky, trailer park, armchair vigilante, semi-senile, blow hards who are a couple of cans short of a six-pack.

Might wanna watch how Piers handles calm, intelligent pro-gun guests. He's an ape.

I like the Piers Morgan angle because he once judged on a game show and he's British. I should think that kind of C.V. would help one synthesize the deep stratam of information coming from all quarters.

I also really like Piers Morgan a lot more now.

For resorted to insults when confronted by hard numbers? Yeah, great guy, I'll invite him as a stand-in at my brother in law's wedding

Let's just all go Medieval and go back to bows and arrows. That's what I'm going to do.

Lol exactly.. The argument that cranky's trying to make is that we should all go back to steam-driven motorcycles for example. Why do you need a lighter, faster, more reliable motorcycle of mass destruction?

Bottom line: Modern semi-automatic rifles allow for a hunter to quickly follow up a missed shot or engage multiple targets when culling pests, are lighter so they're easier to lug through the bush, are more accurate (allowing for more humane kills) and are more reliable so you don't have to worry about your gun going *click* when you got your target in your sights.

Cranky, go back to great-gramps' ol' chugger and I'll keep my R6 TYVM

That part is true.

That part isn't.

An under $1K bolt action .308 like a 700 SPS or similar will destroy anything in .308 that's semi auto. Even the $10K M110 which is the grail of intermediate distance semi autos. The bolt gun is lighter, more accurate and has less moving parts to fail.

I shoot better groups at 1600M with my AR-30 than any SA can. Even larger calibers like .416 and .50 BMG.

Semi autos can't take the pressures of hot loads like bolt guns either.
