IIRC it was a Coast Guard boat the sank a commercial fishing vessel near Port Dover. The fishing boat was hit on the port side. The woman died. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I expect the blue line to be firmly in play.

My bad. I was referring to a splash crash many years ago. I don't know if the blue line works off shore and how that worked out.OPP boat on Nepewassi Lake Friday night, not the Coast Guard in Lake Erie.
Let me guess, all under 18 and back on the streets within an hr of their arrest.Just saw police takedown at Bridlewood mall, apparently an organised group of shoplifters:
All looked like juveniles. I'm surprised all 5 of them stopped. Usually they scattered like cockroaches in all directions.Let me guess, all under 18 and back on the streets within an hr of their arrest.
Maybe there were 10 to start with? At least one cop has their rifle out so I am thinking this wasn't a plain shoplifting call. We aren't as bad as the states but if I was brown and cop had a rifle, I wouldn't be running. All looked like juveniles. I'm surprised all 5 of them stopped. The woman in the picture for the story is a stock photo. A quick search and I already have 27 hits from random sites, all over the world.Toronto Police board member owns a company with fake employees. She says they were real but people cant find a record of them existing and/or their photos did not match their names but the owner hides behind privacy with no further comment.
While ceo of a charity, they hired the company they owned to do over 1M worth of work.
Sounds just about perfect for a member of a police board. Corruption runs all the way to the top.
I have been watching Susan Bassi. U tube. So many dirty, Lawers, Politicians, Judges. Hope we are not the same???????????Toronto Police board member owns a company with fake employees. Very deeply embedded legal right. It would take more than Dougie... the right to not testify in the prosecution against yourself goes back to common rights... like Magna Carta common rightsAs is their legal right,
The right makes sense. I agree with it 100%. If you are a cop that chooses not to assist in legal investigations, you should be immediately terminated. This isn't a vexatious complaint. This happened, there is no doubt who broke laws and policy. That is grounds for termination today. If it was a UPS driver chasing the bad guys, you can bet they would have been on the curb the next day. Being a cop shouldn't get you a five year paid vacation while your pension accrues for killing people.Very deeply embedded legal right. You have the same rights... why shouldn't a cop?
They are welcome to apply for a job as a cop. If you are on the record as not supporting legal proceedings and you killed people during commission of a criminal act, enjoy your future as mall security.... so the choices are:
1) Exercise your rights as a Canadian... and get fired
2) Waive the rights that every other Canadian has, but keep your job...maybe.
And you are going to hire police officers where?
It's not like America with their Qualified immunity, where the cop can do pretty well anything, and get away with it.
In Canada the cops have no more, but no less rights than you
You have the same rights... why shouldn't a cop?
If you are considered to be a Friend of the Courts and your word carries more weight than an average citizen then you should be held to higher standards /code of conduct than "the rest of us plebes" Being forced to be held to account regardless of personal peril for starters. Q.E.D.
