Re: Does anyone else hate cops?

sure sure Im sure they followed up on that....

Cool, you guys can speculate together, I am not going speak logical words against the imagination.

Besides, I really don't see what the difference is between throwing in "this guy has a gun" when there is a thread up there talking about how you should report a driver for being intoxicated when they do something to piss you off and how that would be the lulz. So a false report is ok there?

Its ******** when cops don't respond to your traffic reports but its also ******** when the respond to a report of a guy with a gun?

The only thing I see here is an attitude problem combined with a healthy dose of hypocracy.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, I saw 2 police motorcycles passed by me on Lawrence Ave W. They were forsure not the Harleys. They looked like these new touring models, sporty like..

Been there done that buddy, my opinion (not imagination) comes from actual experience with A-hole police....So keep your logical words to yourself and people that stand up for police, because they are lucky enough to have never experienced the bad...

Like I said Ive seen both side, but the bad out weighs the good 50-1 in most cases....Heck sometimes you even have the bad and the good at the same time, when multiple cops show up at the same time with different attitudes...

Toronto police were supposed to get a few of these and new uniforms, for a 1 year evaluation of the bike....I havent heard if they are actually keeping them after the 1 year, and or if they will be getting more?

Re: Does anyone else hate cops?

How exactly is a cop going to prove someone doesn't have a gun or has a gun? If I were to say, for example, OpenGambit has a gun and the cops go to his door, you have three choices:

#1. Tell the cop to **** off and get a warrant
#2. Talk to them "nicely" about how you don't have a gun.
#3. Be a idiot and let the cop in.

The only way to prove that you do not have a gun is #3 or #1 with an actual warrant. I guarantee you the cops will find something in your house that is illegal: especially if you've been pirating god knows how many CDs/DVDs/BDs/games over the past few years. So in the end, you get screwed if you do let them check. My point is, you can essentially screw the legal system by just telling the cops "I don't like this guy and he has a gun". I even called a few lawyers because I didn't like the fact that I had my time wasted, my parents upset, and some dickwad tool running around saying people have guns and getting away with it. All the lawyers told me "yeah....you don't really have a case".

Also, I don't see anyone responding to the fact that someone gets stabbed in the back of the head, and the cops tell a few 16 years old to eff off because he's too busy handing out a speeding ticket? Yeah, okay. That's some great law enforcement our tax dollars are going into.

And what other job can you "exercise your rights" by randomly pulling people over and wasting their time? Hell, I should go be a cop and just pull every rider I see over for the hell of it because "I think they were wobbling and swerving too much and might be drunk at noon".

My mom's tenant claimed my mom had a gun (long ****ed up story) and the cops came. She was faced with the option to let them search or come back with a warrant.

Option A: They search, its embarrasing etc. They go thru everything everywhere and its generally not a task they like doing and all they do is look for a gun. They either find a gun or not depending on your scenerio. If they dont then theres an apology and they are on their way.
Option B: They come back with a warrant. They are now kinda ****** as you wasted their time, and now they have to find something. They are hunting for a gun but if they find anything they are doing something about it to make it worth their while. PLUS its now on record that you were difficult.

Need I say more?

There are so many holes in your logic that its almost impossible to start at a specific point.
You are just a shining example of what not to do.

If you mean my suggestion in the other thread about calling in dangerous drivers as possibly intoxicated I don't think that's a false claim at all. If a driver does something dangerous that could have caused a serious accident then there's every reason to believe that one of the causes of that could be intoxication. If it gets the cops there quicker to deal with an ******* driver....that's a bonus.

Im very sorry officer, I DO NOT consent to any searches,

"SHUT UP"

Beatdown, Montreal style, man or woman, they don't care!
They are pros at escalating any situation, then using all their resources to clean up the angry mob, using as much manpower and budget as possible.
3:20 is my favorite clip. Its ok for a cop to smash a girls face into an immovable object in Quebec.

Re: Does anyone else hate cops?

Do wheelies in an empty parking lot and youll be surprised at how many times you have to deal with police

EFFING CRIMINAL! You're better off in jail! Someone HTA172 this guy -- no, just detain him arbitrarily like at G20 (wasn't that fun?) before he destroys the entire city with his recklessness! How dare you do something in a parking lot other than park your car and go buy stuff you don't need?

Re: Does anyone else hate cops?

Looks like something is going down downtown. Saw at least 6 cruisers light up and fly by from different side streets to Queen st. Not sure whats up.

2 plainclothes officers in a minivan without lights (I only could tell they were officers because they were holding a radio) almost took out 5 pedestrians as people aren't expecting a plain minivan without lights driving the wrong way into incoming traffic while running a red. It must be serious for some bonehead to pull those cowboy moves. Kind of defeats the purpose of rushing to save lives if you almost kill several on the way.

I thought the same thing, once, and then I recognized Amy Jo Johnson in one of the unmarked SUVs

*EDIT* It's on University; a couple of hundred Congolese protesters, at the US Consulate. Sounds like a good, ol' fashioned "calling all cars" incident.

Ya I just looked up the same article. They must have gotten a very urgent call the way they all were busting down Queen street at double the limit. I'm sure the unmarked van were police. They just had that look and it looked the same as the vans I saw with police during the G20. sure scared the crap out of many pedestrians and vehicles in the oncoming lane. You don't expect to see a vehicle just honking its horn nothing else while traveling the wrong way at way past the speed limit.

I'm all for cracking down on 'Canadians' protesting foreign actions that have very little to do with this country. Round em up. Check citizenships and deport those who aren't citizens but causing trouble. I don't have much tolerance for groups bringing their issues here then protesting the American Consolate. Felt the same way about the Tamils the year before.

Apparently a call has gone out for more support, too. It's getting ugly.

just so i'm clear, if they meet your definition of 'canadian', but are protesting and causing trouble, that would be okay, right?

Then you should have been there when Canadian and not-so-Canadian Serbs were protesting American and NATO action in against the Former Republic of Yugoslavia. Now that was a rollicking good tiime that went on for weeks in the square across the road from the US Consulate.
