Whatever happened to a good old beat down? Why is tazing necessary? Especially with all the risk associated with it as of late. Especially with BC's poor history and obvious lack of training with the tool. Not like a full grown man shouldn't be able to sufficiently subdue and 11 year old. God damn are our LEOs become out of shape. Those mother ****ers should be athletes among us.

How is a good old beat down any safer than a tazer?
Itd rather get hit by a tazer than serious line voltage any day.

How is this even relevant? Are you implying tazing is some how "safe" just because you prefer it over being electricuted via electrical line?

I agree that we should wait until more info comes to light before condemning or condining this.
On a personal note, though, unless this 11 year old was upwards of 200 lbs and built like a young mike tyson (I think tyson was 200 lbs when he was 11 haha) I don't see how they'd be able to justify the tazering. Aren't police officers trained in hand to hand combat? Don't they know how to do arm bars and stuff? What the hell kind of training are these guys getting if they can't arm bar an 11 year old.

The kid was wanted for a stabbing. If the kid was still armed with the weapon he used in the stabbing, taser use would have been a reasonable call.

Tazers are a "no lethal" weapon. There are exceptions with health issues, so theres the risk. A punch in the face can be lethal as well.
What am i basing this claim on? People have died from both. Many more have walked away from both.
