Can you tell what kind of cruiser that is? Doesn't look like your typical Charger.
I think Kia Optima. Wheels look like they match. Car details remaining seem similar.

That looks more like a personal car than an unmarked OPP cruiser.

Drug squad has a huge selection of completely unmarked vehicles. I have no idea why a generic OPP officer would be in one of those though.
Article said he was a detective.

This is Podunk Ontario. What would a street crime detective be doing on-duty at 7am in Tavistock? Surveillance on the Amish Mafia?

Intersection has the O.S. stop signs, too. Pretty hard to miss those.

Not if you're playing on your computer. Remember police have driving super powers and can easily hold a phone and use a computer while driving. Any normal person should never attempt that as it will get you a $615 fine.

Whatever he was doing, he was doing it at a very high rate of speed.
Maybe not. Momentum was not his friend. His motion pushed the bus off the road(where it looks like it rolled and came apart). The energy of the bus going northbound is what punted him 500'. School bus weighs about 10 times the car. If the car got air, that could explain the distance. If it slid the whole way, I would be surprised at a 500' punt.

I thought I saw car skid marks from the intersection to where it stopped. It's hard to pull things together from photos and videos. Lens types can compact or expand distances.

I used Google maps and the distance the car was from the intersection was about 150 feet, half a football field.

Fortunately there weren't any kids on board because this was no fender bender. Echoes of the Humboldt crash.

No seat belts and the bus body coming off the chassis makes for a rethink about bus construction. But a school bus is a fraction of what a TTC or Greyhound one would cost to buy and maintain.

I'm sticking with most of 500'. Check out the power pole with transformer (and white address post) near the cars final position.

Where's the hydro pole shown in the crash pic beside that driveway? Trees don't match up either.
I matched up the driveway and the 3 trees on the right, seems to be the most reasonable match between photo and google.

??? Where is the big tree 30' from the driveway on the same side? Where's the hydro pole in the ROW?

I still say it's in my original spot.

EDIT:
Here's a shot from further back. The intersection is up by the powerlines (near the furthest vehicle). Cop car is close the barn driveway 450' from intersection.

Is it just me or did anyone else find the pic of the 9 cops saluting their buddy that just murdered someone a little on the crass side?

I agree but it's entirely expected. The cult has conditioned them to put them above all others. The brass is already barking about too many officers dying in the line of duty and more needs to be done to protect them. At least this officer accidentally killed someone. They would have behaved the same way if the officer went on a murderous rampage and then talked about the stress of the job made them do it.

I get respecting a fallen comrade... but in this case, I think an overt public display of honor was a large miscalculation.

Most OPP cops have experience in reconstructing crash scenes, they would have known their comrade most likely committed a criminal act that took the life of an innocent person.

The school bus driver was a 71-year-old great-grandfather named David Stewart. He was a retired motorcycle and small engine mechanic.

RIP Mr. Stewart, and condolences to your wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Was it a miscalculation? Do they gaf about what anyone else thinks? Us vs them right from the start of the brainwashing.

RIP Mr. Stewart. Thanks for providing that information.
