Try living in one of the affected areas. You guys think metro cops are bad. The Opp around here are the worst bunch of elitist ******** I've ever seen. Absolutely useless and a pay hike like that is a bad joke

Just imagine being a Canadian soldier in Kabul making $40K a year and some cop in Ontario is whining about how tough and dangerous their job is and making $90K base salary...

Turnabout is fair play.

so,
with these new lapel cameras,

how is this "professional courtesy" gonna be covered up? do they just turn the camera off? or do the supervisors just turn a blind eye to it?

when you represent the law, when you punish others for doing wrong, it is a disgrace and truly wrong to allow fellow officers to break the law. just a disgrace.
and it is very common in GTA.

Three Toronto Police bicycle officers at the Yonge-Dundas pedestrian scramble around midday, yesterday. One walked his bike through the scramble. One Fred Flintstoned his bike through. Three rode through.

Is it any wonder that Toronto cyclists won't follow the law when those who are supposed to enforce those laws don't follow them?

The best part is: the courts will soon have to prove that police are credible witnesses, because there has been so much false testimony from police that the argument can be made, along with a case pile of evidence. That's a really big problem for the courts - in fact Ontario courts have released warnings to police organisation precisely on that issue.
