Made some good steps in the healing process I think. Lump on top is reducing in size at a steady rate (no, not my head). Bit sore today, as I think I did a little too much yesterday applying some of that vinyl wrap to the fairings. Will look good all in all I think.

If healing continues at this rate, the 18th won't be a problem at all....
 
That's good to hear. Don't overdo it though... I know, broken record, but nobody seems to listen! haha

The fact that the 1000 engine is only $800 has got me thinking about replacing my engine this winter if the 4th gear problem persists. With the 650 I can likely find a used engine from racers fairly easily too.

With a bit of finagling I'm sure I could squeak it in mine... Just need to do a bit of cleanup first and find a better spot to put my truck cap.
No more reasons not to go and do it Jer! hehehehe...

Jer, don't listen to Tim. That's the wrong answer. He should have said "What the F does the gf have to do with you and what bikes you own!?" :)

thats a brutal exuse Jer. You go out, you buy a bike (its your money), when she's standing beside it and gives you an ultimatum, just keep looking at the bike and ask her if she wants to rephrase the question.

you can borrow mine, 2" ball

edit: dean's is 1 7/8" depending on what kind of hitch you have
