also debating the DOCC mosport weekend/monday date that weekend, but the organization was a shitshow at GB last year. It was their first time at GB, but there was a real god complex going on with the organizers.
Maybe do mosport with pro6 later in the season and do the GB day June.1, not sure yet, what are you guys doing?

I'm out for Mosport big track until I get a 600 or 1000 (not ruling out the 1000!), but I like June 1st, that one appeals greatly to me.

This morning (before work) was very productive. I got the wheels off the SV and swapped the front tire, put the SLICK on! Yeah baby! I'll put the rear on and balance them tomorrow morning. I'm also getting a new clutch pack and different shift star, detent arm and spring on Monday so I'll swap all that next week and be ready for the following week. Hopefully that stuff helps with the 4th gear issue, but I kind of doubt it...

Me, Dave and Randy will all be at Shannonville on the 18th. Lets do what we can to make sure you're there too.
I may be able to do June 1 at GB too... I'll know better next week.
As for Mosport, I'm really set on riding the big track, and Riders Choice has a day on Monday, Aug 27th for $200, as opposed to Pro6 which is $230.
Dave made a good point about the GTAM trackday (which I actually schedule a work trip around, so I could go), that you might get a bunch of forum heroes show up just looking to put down "who they are faster than", rather than riding in a safe manner. Don't want another TMP incident like last year with some hotshots. Not to put words in Dave's mouth, but after mentioning it, I have to say I agree and do have some concern over who is going to show up.
We definitely need to make sure we get Tim on the road before the SMP date. I'll definately give you a hand when I can, just struggling with free time/issues around my own house right now that need to be sorted out.
your gonna like the slicks Dave! Would love to try the CBR at mosport, its going to be a lunatic, but will probably hold out for a later date and do GB on the 1st with whoever else thats going

true, but they had less than ideal turnouts last year, which is why they are only running 1 "open to all" set of days this year, which could mean only 2 groups, although RC could be the same too. I like pro6, but we'll have to pick a day later on, I'm thinking GB on the 1st right now

Yeah, it's on a weekend too which definitely attracts a different, potentially less serious and less safe, crowd so it's a double whammy.
Yeah, I think I will too. I loved the Diablo SC's so the slicks should just be a better version of them.

I'm hoping June 2 is the only day I will need anybody's help (and why I've let people know that date) for the engine swap.
Going to Zdeno's to give the motor a quick once over - hopefully I'll be able to hear it running (still in the bike at the moment from what I understand) this afternoon. Put down a deposit, and pick up on Friday, June 1.
I don't want to be a bother to people (people are busy and I can't expect them to help) - hopefully some steak and beer will compensate you enough for the time of anyone who comes to help.
Doing the bodywork this weekend - should get most of the fibreglass/bondo done. Prime and vinyl wrap and it that part should be ready to go. Hopefully all that will be out of the way by next weekend, which gives me some time to remove the tank, drain fluids and remove other bitz as necessary.
