Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

I will. I've got a busy week, but hopefully I'll get a few hours to put at least one video together. Hopefully tonight, actually. I'll post the one where we got red flagged and restarted because it has a lot of passing action. For the restart Randy was right at the front and I was right at the back. I passed almost everybody within 3 laps. Super fun!

That's bc you are on an SV :) bahahaha

Well that and theyre awesome too :)

Back when I was young and foolish, I told a friend of mine that SV's were girly bikes, but it was before the pointy second generation was out. He rode one at FAST and said it was awesome and wanted to get one, and I made fun of him. When I bought one, he reminded me of this. hahaha

hahaha for me its the insurance, a SS would kill me on the payments :(

Yeah, I hear ya. It really is a great bike. Parts are very easy to get used and even new parts are usually fairly cheap. I love it at the track, lots of fun. I'm almost done with it though. Hopefully at the end of this season I will have met my goals.

That's because they were running it La Man's style, I was running in the DOT class, not the race spec tire class ;)

Crazy thread!

Tim i broke my collarbone and 3 ribs when i was 17 in a snowboard wipe out in B.C. I remember it being hard to get balance because i kept getting vertigo and best advise is just rest on your back and put in a season of a new show. May i suggest sons of anarchy or breaking bad?

rest up, and hopefully we can hit up the track soon.

On a side note, just bought a new snow bear trailer. 4x8 that folds down to 4x9.5 with also a folding ramp gate.
Renos are almost done, so i should be on the track in a few weeks! :D

Well boyz going through the video of yesterday, crazy stuff. Recording my track times from the start line ( rolling start of course lol) and I'm pretty impressed so far. Only gone through 2 sessions but I can say I started at 1:39 and things just keep looking better. When I finish the videos I'll post my times ... If anyone cares lmao.

Hey Nick! We were wondering what you've been up to! Haha...

Dan, is that from the afternoon track? I'll time some of mine too later tonight if I get a chance.

1:18!!!!!

I'm pretty damned proud of that ... Well maybe till other people post their times. I'm gonna enjoy it while I can lol and yes I have video proof of all of this lol

I counted around 75 -85 laps, which seems pretty descent for my first track day. It's no 310 km like randy... But he's a champ like that lol. A big thanks to all the guys for making that day possible for me and for all the help every one gave me. I definitely owe you guys some beers or something.

So... here's the video...
My line going around the final turn onto the beginning part is completely whacked.. flustered me a bit as to how bad it was...
Kept that turn in the back of my head the whole time till I binned it.

Corner entry into final turn was way late. On video review, I would definitely have made it if I had stuck it out at the reduced speed I had scrubbed off too. Split second decision, and I chose wrong.

Yikes Tim that sucked ... And I'm not just talking about your skill level ... ( ?too soon ???) we all have to make those split second decisions eventually, just learn from it and try to not do it again. I've been there except on a dark road at 5 30 am in the middle if nowhere ( damn deer lol). If I could pick I'd rather it at the track then road for sure. Heal up bud and well get back to the smack talk that so sadly had been put on hold. Keep us updated on your condition.

Hope all is well and goes well Tim.....I do have all the seasons of SOA on my computer if you need something to occupy your time with.

Nice! I'm just getting to the videos now. I'll see what lap times I was turning. You were definitely doing great for your first track day!

I pulled a 1:16 in the first session after lunch, in traffic. I'm uploading the first video now, and my computer is busy crunching the next one so I can't watch the final session smoothly enough to time it. EDIT, my computer just finished so I watched a few sections of the last session. At one point I did a bunch of 1:14's in a row.

Dan that 1:18 is really impressive! What did you do differently to drop from the 1:24 range down to a 1:18 on the last session?
