Itchy Boots bike got stolen

I'm still rocking my 2015 Macbook Pro. The thing just keeps going and going and going. I keep thinking about upgrading, but then I realize how little heavy-lifting type work I actually do it anymore besides surfing, so it's tough to justify.

I don't know enough but the bigger picture here to have an opinion one way or the other. Some cursory Googling suggests that the bike was equipped with an emergency fallback harness (already mounted) that could run just the absolute basics in an emergency situation. In this case it doesn't sound as fishy as "I happened to have a whole spare harness with me". There's a lot of debate out there on this episode however.
The spare harness was explained in detail in an earlier episode.

I think on one of the first episodes of this season. If not the first, then the 2nd or 3rd.

Like I said, I'm not a subscriber so I've no idea beyond what I've read here and elsewhere. Perhaps those in the know could share the "bigger picture" of that bit for the rest of us here.

New episode is out.

For those that were looking for the other half of the cable loom, you can actually see both cut ends in one shot in new video.

There should be an easy way to implement a new kill switch instead of manually disconnecting a wire, which also requires the removal of a side panel. Simple toggle switch should be easy to implement and I'm sure one can be found in Iraq.

Its not like I'm a big supporter or subscriber. I don't even watch every episode, and even the ones that I do watch, its often not in its entirely. My main purpose of watching these types of video is to "see the world" from the comfort of my home. That goes for her videos, or some other travel vloggers. However, as soon as the person become annoying and drags a 30 second scene into 5 minutes, is where they have lost me as a viewer.

I just don't think she comes across as the person that would fake her own bike being "stolen".
I'm sure she could think of better ways to create more click bait.

Exactly √ Places I could not or would go and I've enjoyed her progress as a rider.

You just can't admit to the fact she does NOT have a support crew with her when travelling or for editing. Get over it.
Or are you a secret supporter of "alternate facts". ;)

Friendly observation: One thing I’ve learned about her in the last few days since this thread came up (and I have done a little more digging and seen some of comments from those who question things sometimes) is that she has a vehement group of supporters.

Who cares if she does or does not have a support vehicle or crew?

Does it diminish her abilities as a rider or vlogger if she has a team behind her?

I'm sure she could afford a support crew if she wanted to.

I think that has a lot to do with her character. At least to me, she comes across as honest and genuine. Someone who would actually be fun to go on a ride with and have a beer at the bar at the end of that ride.

She has accomplished a lot but she doesn't brag about it.

There is another vlogger that I watched for a bit but stopped. Too bad as it she from the motherland so a bit of a biased support was there.
Every episode seem to be in some "magical paradise" or "this is my favorite spot in the world". ... ummmm, wasn't the last episode the most serene spot. Or it had had some dramatic plot where is is over reacting and braking down.

However, she must have convinced the masses and the right people as she is now part of a National Geographic feature on YB.

Then there is the one that likes to do dance moves.
Marc from Marc Travels comes across genuine but not particularly photogenic I follow him cuz I want his bike.

and reminds I never ever want to go to India. He has no support crew, does his own editing but makes friends easily and has made a long term friendship with a German couple travelling in a good size truck - they're doing parallel journeys and very personable - more so than Marc.

I unsubscribed when I got fed up of his wet blanket imbecile of a girlfriend:

- Goes to Italy and complains until finds a Subway sandwiches joint to eat at.
- Claims she's being harassed by the police who are asking her for her passport... at the border crossing... because she didn't know that you need to show your passport, at the border crossing.

There was more but my subconscious blocked it out to protect me from my eye twitch coming back.

Sounds like maybe she flaked off now?

Not sure how reliable the source, but possible?

Your link goes to a video that I wouldn't put too much faith in. I guestimated she's making over $60k/month... That video says she's making $600k/month... That's $7.2 million per year.

If I were making $7 million per year YouTubing, I'm bringing a support truck, a camera crew, my girl in her new helicopter, my personal chef, the guy who makes the Nike commercials, Gene and Neda, and my new pet tiger with me.

I did start my post saying "Not sure how reliable the source"
But anyway you look at it, she is enjoying life doing what she obviously lives for and not looking destitute.

She is long gone and Marc better off for it but what drama queen she was.
I sort of liked when she had the little 4x4 but she got tired of the lifestyle.
....
This sounds more likely

Noraly hasn't got quite the sparkle she had earlier years - I know Africa was tough on her - she was visibly tired toward the end and would not likely made the mistake that got her injured but who knows.
It was very near the end of the planned trip anyway. What a trooper flat on her back with a broken clavicle still filming narrating and wondering when someone would show up. (y)
Actually fortunate who did but it took a while.

This theft took a bit out of her too but was impressed how she handled it all.

No. You still don’t get it.

I’m skeptical of videos / info posted online because time and again it’s proven that what the entertainer says is bullcrap.

Same as your love for her is showing and she can do no wrong. You’re blinded by a crush for a person you’ve never met, and never (most likely) will ever meet. She’s an entertainer.

It doesn’t matter. I don’t actually care either way.

Suh-weeeeet!

We're rootin' for you, @adri!

I always wanted to ride around with a Tiger... again:

I wonder if people would be interested in a vlog about two older guys with prostate issues touring across Canada stopping every so often, too often to pee..?
