iTunes!!!!!!!!!!
No what i meant by drag and drop is
getting rid of itunes altogether.
Many other phones have folders like a usb stick. You connect the phone to the computer, open it from my My Computer and just paste your music without all the
itunes nonsense.
ALso why playlists? For most phones, you just create a
folder structure like Music\Classical\Beethoven and thats that. All from My Computer lol I could definitely do without
the annoying itunes
Oh so do i, but folder structure is exactly that without need for itune.
It freaks me out when people say they wanna get rid of iTunes!!! But then i can only think, it is because they are using another OS(Windows,Etc), where it might take a while to load, plus recognizing the devices takes a bit too,....whereas on Mac Computers, it is almost instant on both instances...oh well!!!!
Also see quote below, which relates.
as for iTunes I suspect my experience has been better because I use the macosx version instead of the windows version. I hear many complaints from customers who run windows and use iTunes (for many it works well or it doesn't work at all) and I suspect its due to issues with the USB chipsets.
I have a Samsung S3, and i rely on itunes a lot for my media, plus transfers to my devices...I use Doubletwist to do the transfers for my S3..i just organize my Libraries/Playlists with iTunes first. Doubletwist is the iTunes for Android.
I like my stuff organized. i use a Mac. I have iPads, iPods, Apple TV. So it makes sense for me to use iTunes. Plus iTunes is the best, many people use it, also DJ's.
iTunes have playlists which is cleaner than having folders, as you can see in CruisnGrrl quote below...
But with play lists I could say set a song to play for say "driving music" and again set it for "work out" music with out having to duplicate it.
So you have to duplicate a track to drop it into a newer folder(playlist) to hear that track....which is crazy....considering i have about 20 playlists, and one track is added to about five of them, whereas you will have to duplicate the track 5 times for those folders(playlists/structures you speak of). I see a few of my music apps on android, have "add to playlist" feature, but i don't use them, because i am already setup.
In iTunes you can choose what playlist or smart playlist you want to add to a certain device, by a simple checkmark before syncing.
Now i use Smart Playlists on iTunes that also have "live updating", which is better than regular playlists...you should try it!!!
Playlists explained in my next post.
