APPLE IS STILL A RELIGON LAST TIME I CHECKED!!

What's a RELIGON? Is that some new shape?

Yada yada blah blah. Ca android actually do anything better? Maybe, if you consider countless hours of fiddling with your phone as "better".

Faster CPU? Why? Because the OS and all the apps are so power hungry and inefficient. C eats java. Its like bragging a bike has 200hp when it weights five times more than other bikes.

Small screen? Fits in my pocket better.

See, kids? Spelling is important, otherwise people will make fun of you over the internet! =p

As for the religon, I believe it was what happened when Jesus 'took the wheel'.

I could use some opinions for my next phone. I presently have an original Samsung Galaxy S and I can upgrade anytime. My wife's iPod touches have worked flawlessly for her for years. What I like about my phone was the ability to add another micro SD card into it and expand it inexpensively. Loaded it up with tons of music and used it listen to music in my truck.

However, even though I have had the phone two years I already have a bunch of apps I can no longer update and lots of new apps which will not work on it (I guess the hardware is not powerful enough for some of the latest versions).

The other pain in the rear is the lack of battery life. You are talking 4-6 hours; that's it.

The upcoming Samsung Note 3 looks interesting and I do like the Galaxy S4. Would I be happy with an iPhone? I would need at least 32G and would prefer 64G. What I don't like is that I cannot add more capacity cheaply and cannot replace the battery (or carry a spare).

So, Note 4, Galaxy S4, or an iPhone 5 (whichever model)?

Apple actually supports their devices longer than Android. The 3GS which came out a year before the Galaxy S is still a competent phone. Latest iOS is available for the 3GS and most apps work on it. Some games are not supported because of their graphic, but most are.

Changing the battery is not that big of a deal, as people make it to be if it dies. As for changing it during the day, I have yet to meet a person that actually carries two batteries.

Not having expandable space sucks, I agree. On the upside iPhones come with fast internal memory. Last time I had a phone with micro-sd it was slooow. A high class micro-sd might be as fast but those are not that cheap either.

Itunes sucks, I really hate it, but I can get around it. I use phone drive and ssh to transfer music via wifi.

Still waiting to see if the fingerprint thing is going to be another classic Apple cockup like the maps and Siri was.

Fingerprint sensing is nothing new. IBMs had it on their laptop years ago, Motorola had it on their Altrix (?) fairly recently. Never really caught on.

When the 5S is released to the wild, I'd be interested to see how it works in the real world.

I'm pretty skeptical, but looks like it may work

I don't think you know what you are talking about.

Your speed transfer issue is incorrect.
It is actually very fast.
It is great that you can just plug the phone in and drag and drop.
Another thing I tried for fun was plugging my phone into my tablets usb port and it worked.

Android has some really cool apps that will detect where you are, reconfigure your phone e.g. work turn off ringer switch wallpapers etc... or home turn on wifi and sync your music/videos/e-magazines to your computer.

Airdroid is a cool free app too.

I might get one (5S), as my old phone is pretty much on it's deathbed and I'm currently out of contract. Although I want to like Android, I've never cared much for it (yet) when playing with other people's phones or tablets, so figure I might drink the Apple kool-aid one more time before potentially jumping OSes (considering I only upgrade phones every 3 or so years).

Side-note: I do find it funny that more than half the reasons I jailbroke my original iPhone 2G are now standard parts of the later incarnations of iOS. The big one being Springboard now known as Mission Control (or whatever Apple is calling it on the phone).

I believe you are referring to the jailbreak app SB Settings. Springboard is the iOS homescreen.

Thats be awesome. I should look into it. Specially since ive always used winamp as my primary player. Thanks Roomie!

I have Winamp (free edition), and it'll transfer files to my iPod(s) but its riddled with bugs (sometimes is may not recognize the device and/or crap-out during transfer, or not transfer files properly) - I think if you purchase Winamp, it might work perfectly, but I don't know for sure.

Also, Winamp doesnt make it a "drag-and-drop" process, it just sync's with the iDevices library, so you'll still have to transfer files exactly as if you were using iTunes.
