While I appreciate that this is a great jesture of charity and applaud you for your charitable givings. Why feel the need to make people jump through proverbial hoops with a great story of being in need before you decide where the money goes? Seems alittlle distasteful imo - no offence. You should just give it to someone who you can clearly see is in need without asking them to do anything for it - thats true charity. PS: Happy Birthday.

If I knew people in need I wouldn't be asking. This is beyond regular donations to charity I wanted to help more one on one. If you want distasteful, read my other posts on here. I'm getting pm's somost people aren't baring their souls in public don't worry

If Sonny had demanded they tell their stories on here (as opposed to PM), and if he didn't have a track record for walking the walk then it could be construed as distasteful. I guess when you give money away to strangers you do it differently.

A little bit of torrent searching and networking and craigslisting and spelling Schweiser correctly will get you a lot further.

Sonny give the money to a needy family or organization that feeds. $300 is a game changer for some of these people, I've been there. Now I'm more in a position where a game change would be like $50k, but that's my problem.

Randomly walk up to one of those pickers around town these days and hand them some cash...that would be cool.

At certain class levels in society you become isolated from other levels. I don't make a lot of cash myself but i know few people that are homeless or are helpless, by sonny asking for the info he gets to know he's making a difference in some ones life. Sadly many charity organizations are now about making money to raise money, some of the top staff for certain charities make 6 or 7 figures. That is a lot of money.
