I'm giving away money

I would but I need some direction on who to talk to. Im in Newmarket. Can the agency you used guide me?

Can't help you there as my last church was in California. I don't know Newmarket that well, is there a neighbourhood that is lower income? Best bet would be to call a school in an area like that and get their guidance. The agency we used was one who assisted low income people on the road out of poverty. It was all about a hand-up, not a hand-out.

If I had $300 to donate, I'd donate it http://www.lab-rescue.ca/ I adopted my rescue Lab grrrrrl through them and they do such fantastic work. :)

Some pics of her for the awwwwwwww! factor:

The ***** won

it's not for someone on here necessarily as i said. Someone may know a person who needs assistance and i also said i'm not limiting it to 300 if it's needed

i feel what you are doing is amazing, and this is for 2live&ride.... I know alot of out side county's need help but what about our own? There are many of our own who struggle to have food so if someone is nice enough and able to help then please help ou own first....

Cheers you are awesome sonny;)

Happy belated my friend and good on ya!:thumbright:
I hope you enjoyed your trip.

Yes i did.

Thank you so much for doing that! They're a small group of volunteers who always end up with more Labs than they can post for adoption. Most of them foster as many of them as they can to keep them from shelters and being PTS. I know they appreciate the help!

Thanks again. You just warmed by heart! :)

Ok slight detour here, I have two Labs and love them completely. I went to take a look at stormcats link for lab rescue, a girl that works with my wife has adopted there.
All dogs have redeeming qualities and few offer unconditional love like a true lab, but those 10-12 yr old guys looking for a warm bed for a few more years....... I just cant look. When one of my labs moves on, another will be moving in from the lab rescue program. I'm so glad we moved away from our farm or the place would be 50/50 split on beef cattle and labradors......

Adopting a senior Lab has crossed my mind many, many times. But I know I'm not financially stable enough right now to cover all the vetting fees that a senior Lab would require. :(

Do you ever save the horses from the auctions Sonny? I have heard a lot of them are sold by the pound :( My parents always have a few horses on their farm that would have ended up like that.

I have 3 already and don't want to start down the road of accumulating them for the sake of just pulling them out of auctions. Thousands of horses are sold and slaughtered in Canada. Unfortunately that is a nicer way to deal with them in many cases instead of neglect and starvation.
