I'm giving away money

This is a Motorcycle Forum.

there are many people who could benefit from some formal training but cannot afford it.

How about using the $300 to pay for the rider training program that somone could not take without the help.

This would help and have a great impact on one person and also help the riding community as well.

(I have done this before, paid for two people to take the MSF BRC)

The help i have been giving is for need and assistance, not so much for fun and training, i have taken people to the track for courses before. This is different. I was considering renting mosport or shannonville again for my own trackday and letting some people come out free who wouldn't normally. They would also get some training which I did in the past as well.

I have a hard time imagining the guy that can afford the insurance in Ontario but not the training...

I don't know if this is out of the scope of the offer, but the Toronto Wildlife Centre is always looking for donations. Their building (along with other historic buildings in Downsview Park) is slated for demolition, so any extra funds would help

I have an ant in India, she use to have a business, she did well for herself now she opened a school were less fortunate children where they study and live so they are not a burden on their families, she provides for them mostly through her savings but also some personal donations from family and friends. If you are interested in helping people stand up on their feet let me know and I can hook you up with her.
You are welcome to visit or have some one check the place out to avoid fraud.

this is not a charity its run privately out of personal funds, charities have lots of overhead costs this minimizes cost to direct requirements instead of paying for an office and staff.

Oh no!!! They're awesome people — all are volunteers as well. I brought an orphaned possum baby to them last year and they did everything they could to save it (but it ended up having to be euthanized).

Just to touch on the animals versus humans comment — I donate to both as well. But I see animals as helpless, and having been brought into this world by (many times) irresponsible people who refuse to have their pets spayed/neutered, as our responsibility in general. Too many people let their cats and dogs breed when there are simply not the homes for them to go to, and far too many people take on pets then treat them like an inconvenience later and ditch them.

For the last few years Anny and Louie Raffa have run an annual Racers for Autism trackday. This year it is at St Eustache on Sept 15th. A bit too far away for me and I have a schedule conflict but there is generally a very good turnout. All the registration fees go to charity and there is a decent amount of stuff donated for silent auction.

Perhaps you have or could get something a bit more substantial to donate to the auction that could bring in some decent coin and help some racer at the same time? Or just donate some money directly?

PM me if you would like Anny's contact info.

Little different here, for a kid (age 16 to 25 to get car insurance is over $1,000 year for minimum. For bike insurance (Not SS bikes) it is about $100 a year. I encourage some to get a bike before a car (Cheap used bike less than $1,000) and save thier money all year to later get a car.
