What say you GTAM? Should I rip out those 3-4 bricks and level them off?
Or insert some small 1.5” cut bricks to hide it better

Wife just said ‘why? The bbq stands there anyway’My OCD would make me cut it out.
Got any good before and after shots? I imagine the difference is striking.Another wall finished. Damn bricks dropped 1/4” in the middle but I’m not gonna tear it apart to level that out.
Dad did parging and wow what a difference.

MP Masonry is open for business!
What his pics don't show is that in some locations the grey brick had absorbed water, spalled off and was starting to look pretty beat up. Now he is back to new and fresh (and warmer and better air sealing and . . . ).Got any good before and after shots? I imagine the difference is striking.
I knew it! My house is already like swiss cheese...may as well do it again.6th row of hardi siding is 1/8 off level. Start over .

Personally I would just split the difference and jack-up the entire house a 1/16" to fool the eye.6th row of hardi siding is 1/8 off level. Start over .

So simple...not sure why I haven't thought of it.Personally I would just split the difference and jack-up the entire house a 1/16" to fool the eye.
Probably a good idea case for a on demand unit is there gas or propane thereAnybody have a recommendation / contact for an HVAC guy/gal in the Wasaga Beach area? Dad said his water heater is costing $40/month to literally sit there as no one is using the cottage 95% of the time.
Going up there this weekend to confirm some items, but they want to remove the tank and replace with a new bought unit so there's no silly monthly charge for nothing.
Tank is 15 years old. No leaks.

Yes there is up there. Only issue is that the water is very hard so one of the issues with an on-demand one (in my understanding) is that the maintenance could be very heavy in that type of condition.Probably a good idea case for a on demand unit is there gas or propane there

Install yourself or do everything but the gas and get a gas guy to finish

I disagree. Cheap electric tank. The high upfront cost of on-demand stays expensive as they don't use it much. Flip the electric tank on when you arrive, flip it off when you leave. Costs a little more to run but thousands cheaper to get installed and close to zero maintenance.Probably a good idea case for a on demand unit is there gas or propane there

Lots of cheap on demand units now in the 4-600 range same price a a electric tank.I disagree. Cheap electric tank. The high upfront cost of on-demand stays expensive as they don't use it much. Do you gave a cooperative gas guy? I considered installing one myself and getting a sign off. Techs I found wanted $1000 for the tag.https://www.amazon.ca/Ranein-Natural-Tankless-Heater-Instant/dp/B0C6PYS9D2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=162BE3W0CGQ3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TjT-lomI-UEOwgNFxfDgahwhJTvwJN2IcSgJQ01kk2q9SH-ZoKoS1JA3ncG7Zv81HZMAdODVdRnGC09LKyVr4wLeGpWeeFxTV8UBJ8quLQuxTsND4I5nTnsLggXJ2ZHd61Bn8FTfuJq44Yyx6S3DZ3BZ8tLd5z4Elv5VAw5EVFDRabGSnn6VtMMAoRRXfBbNPwByrKyDeLM6G7cQs32AGw.zB72IXfgL8DOEsrPRJza8Qp5bCAEzxXI-S2NBXZpZ-U&dib_tag=se&keywords=on+demand+water+heater+natural+gas&qid=1729609849&sprefix=on+demand+water+heater+,aps,174&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

I have a guy here who will do it for a couple of hundred or so it yourself super easy and legal on your own property just follow code and check for leaks.Do you gave a cooperate gas guy? I considered installing one myself and getting a sign off. Techs I found wanted $1000 for the tag.
You still need a tssa certified tech to sign off. I can't see a legal way around that. I can do the work but it would be illegal and I wouldn't have home insurance without the ticket.I have a guy here who will do it for a couple of hundred or so it yourself super easy and legal on your own property just follow code and check for leaks.

Sure glad I didn't bother going for the HVAC ticket! Always wanted to have a trade, and HVAC was the one at the top of the list...but no time / ability to take a huge paycut to do the apprenticeship. You still need a tssa certified tech to sign off.
