I need a glue that expands and foams up to take up space. I remember the old PL used to do that, but as newer versions of it came out, each promised less foaming. What kind of glue that comes in a cartridge expands the most?

Various things. For example, a door frame with about a 1/4" - 1/2" gap up top. It would take too much caulk to fill and not be worth using a spray foam can as they are pretty much single use.
Lots of home renovations are mentally funded by skyrocketing paper valuations. People rationalize that laminatevwas fine when their house was 200k but now that it is 1M it needs granite. Also, covid renovations where people poured money normally used on vacation into their houses got many people ahead of where they would normally be on the project list. Everyone says the sky is falling and your house price has dropped by 100k and suddenly adding/replacing granite doesnt seem like the best plan anymore.
Cottages used to have painted plywood floors, an outhouse and Sally Ann furniture. Now they're spas because who wants a million dollar cottage that looks like a Sally Ann dumpster?
I have a small amount of brick deterioration at the lower edges of the garage door so I'm guessing salt. If Kevin salted the deck, then shoveled the slop against the wall it could have done the dastardly deed. I've got a few matching bricks for my next summers project.

I wouldn't want to bond anything to anything Kevin messed with. I don't know how stable the surface is and woulddn't want ot find out when things started falling off.
Have been pondering (and sketching) a revamp of my faithful garden shed. Jacking it up about four feet could provide a nice loft area for tires and what not.

I drew up plans for a similar shed a few years ago. Less than 110 sq ft so no building permit. Second floor was larger than first (like a mushroom) to maximize loft space. Access to loft was an external removable ladder and exterior double door so no inside space wasted to access hole.
My old suburb had a height limit. On single pitch roof, it was to the peak. On a gambrel roof, it was to the break. I think with maximum footprint and gambrel you could end up with a 15' tall shed with no permit.
