What!Hahahaha. Liberal christmas party is tonight. They've brought in people from across the country to celebrate with them. That will be a very awkward party.
They must have used CPC to deliver my invite.

What's different than last week? Their word is worth less than JT's and that's a shockingly low bar. Singh likes to talk but an election now will sink his party.I haven't found the source/video yet but CBC reported the NDP has said 'they will vote non-confidence if Trudeau doesn't resign'.
True but I think he's used the last of his paint in the corner he put himself in. I suspect he will threaten to fold the government to help push Trudeau out. Gotta remember the Liberals don't want an election either. What's different than last week? Their word is worth less than JT's and that's a shockingly low bar. They sure as hell don't want an election in the midst of a leadership race. Much pushing and they prorogue until October. New US president banging pots together and we have no functional government for eight months. At least the libs/ndp will get their lifetime pensions for screwing our grandkids.Gotta remember the Liberals don't want an election either.
I don't think you can prorogue until October. That only ends the current session of parliament which should restart at the next season (spring, summer, fall, winter). They sure as hell don't want an election in the midst of a leadership race. You can progogue for a year based on what I read before. Parliament must sit once per year so you can prorogue until the next session starts in 364 days. The dates that sessions start are convention but not written in stone.I don't think you can prorogue until October. As I recall there is still dental care and pharma care legislation in the senate, proroguing kicks that back to step 1. NDP doesn't want that either.
He could always dissolve parliament.
Name Freeland interm pm blame everything bad on Trudeau. And show how courageous she was for saving Canada. They sure as hell don't want an election in the midst of a leadership race. But since Parliament is dead in the water that means nothing can be passed. Doesn't the government require votes by Parliament to supply funding for government operations to continue? Like the Republicans and Democrats hang over each others head every year in Congress. You can progogue for a year based on what I read before. Jt doesn't care about that or us.As the orange one and vlad move in on Canada & split the acreage.
Our funding bills aren't as black and white as the US. No government shutdown. Shuffling some money on internal spending and payments on major procurement projects like ship building may miss payments. But since Parliament is dead in the water that means nothing can be passed. Dunno about that..Our funding bills aren't as black and white as the US. No government shutdown. Shuffling some money on internal spending and payments on major procurement projects like ship building may miss payments.
The Business of Supply
The business of supply is the process by which the government submits its projected annual expenditures for parliamentary approval. It includes consideration of the main and supplementary estimates, interim supply, motions to restore or reinstate items in the estimates, appropriation bills, and motions debated on allotted days.
To spend public funds, the government must request Parliament’s authorization through the review and approval of appropriation bills. To help Parliament understand and scrutinize its spending plans, the government prepares and presents main and supplementary estimates.
Interim Supply
Before the beginning of the fiscal year, the House of Commons approves interim supply. As full supply is not granted until June, the government needs authorization to spend funds during the first three months of the fiscal year. Thus, interim supply is usually three-twelfths of the amount outlined in the main estimates.
