Ding Dong, the witch is dead....

Hill Times article about Trudeau...

As much as I didnt like her - I feel kinda bad for her.
After her years of loyal support to Trudeau he throws her under the bus like this.

Atleast she had some dignity to quit on her own terms..I do wonder what she will do next if her career isnt already over at this point.

Probably better for her career than the guaranteed path of destruction she was on.

Dignity?
I think you're giving her too much credit...

She went along with EVERYTHING the boss said, until she realized he was going to screw her over..
She did what she thought she needed to do in order to save her own skin.
Will it..?
We'll have to wait and see... No doubt it'll be spun into some noble, feminist victory.

Well, she saw what happened to Harris if you don’t distance/differentiate yourself from an incumbent. So I’m guessing she’ll angle for the top job at some point.

I'm guessing at this point she wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell at winning any kind of election, But i can see hardcore libtards following her off the cliff

Fat chance she puts distance between her support for 'their' policies for 9 years and then suddenly has a come to Jesus moment when the ship starts to sink.

That being said, i expect every leadership candidate was on that same boat; party will probably go nowhere but down for awhile. Maybe they will rally the faithful but I think voters are done with that song.

Carney has a chance as an outsider that isnt completely covered in poo. I think he's too smart to want to run now though. I can't see any path to a liberal victory this time around.

She is a long way from an idiot , I didn’t like her lap dog performance for nine yrs , but she is no idiot. She followed the party line and her boss ( he’s an idiot) . She will have a fine career as an advisor and consultant to business either through political lanes or the private sector . She will be ok , and throwing the dagger at JT will only make her more powerful.

Exactly. She did what she was told, how to do it, and how to toe the party line. Nothing else.

Is she dumb? No

She did what vast majority of people would do. You get the keys to the kingdom, and you take it. Very few would walk away.

She knows the party is done. She knew that she would be a sacrificial lamb, so she went out guns blazing.

JT will try and screw her over, but she's smarter than he is.

Liberals are done. JT will sink with the ship, blame everyone else for it, and then have a cushy consulting gig for the rest of his life.

Anyone wanting to lead the Libs back to victory will have to wait at least 4-8 years. All depends how bad PP is when he gets the job.

You can progogue for a year based on what I read before. Parliament must sit once per year so you can prorogue until the next session starts in 364 days. The dates that sessions start are convention but not written in stone.
Proroging parliament until October would make the Freedom Convoy look like a play date in Ottawa.
