No one wants to come out and just state the absolute fact. Detroit went downhill in the 50s-60s after all the white people left he city for the safety of the suburbs leaving behind all the all the people who couldn't afford a home outside the city. They called it white flight. No tax base, no services and your city goes down the crapper.

I smell chaos. Businesses are closing, municipal services are no more, no power, no lights, no police/fire/ems, crime is its highest, national guard and army presence.

Ya, I know. It's a generalization. The basic infrastructure is already there. If bottom dollar houses are available all you need is lower paying cottage industry type jobs to make a go of it. It just needs to get rolling with an industrious hands on mentality. It wouldn't be crackheads pulling this together.

Cut your losses and call it a day. Detroit is the calling card of what will happen in the rest of the US Cities. Detroit was just 20 years ahead of the curve. 50 years of Liberal crooked politicians handing out **** like its going out of style, difficult legislations and policies making it harder for companies to compete and you have a mini USA.

How many large cities are NOT carrying huge debt nor adding to it year after year? Gents its only gonna get worse.

It has nothing to do with the color of the skin and everything to do with marginalizing of those people. When your "community leaders" constantly tell you're a failure because the WHITE man is keeping you down, and flaming segregation and racism by constantly reminding people about it, and the governments white guilt ends up allowing you to live off the gov tit why should you succeed? why should you try harder? afte rall its not your fault you live in the ghetto and are a failure, its whitey fault.

And yet, in Cuba, there is no racism or segregation, in a lot of places where there was a lot more slavery than USA people have managed to get over it.

Canada has the exact same problem, our Native Americans. We've been shoveling money their way for so long that they as a community CANNOT survive without government handout.
