Daily sports car?

Subaru BRZ

Sporty:
- exciting drivers car
- quite competitive in Autocross Stock Class (not me, but other drivers are regularly top 3)
- keeps up with Caymans and Boxters at the track(actually me).

Practical:
- can fit 3 adults comfortably, 4 "uncomfortably", and easily 2.5 people depending on the style of baby-seat.
-can tow 1500lbs of motorcycle, tent & table & chairs
- fit a lawnmower without taking it out of the box.

Do folks keep tend to keep these German performance machines for 7+ years?
Most of the German vehicles I see at car shows and driven by long time enthusiasts are older models that have been built up.

Oh sweet baby Jesus...how many kids do I need to sell for this?

What's the going rate on healthy young kids nowadays!? (I kid I kid....)
1) Move to New Tecumseth
2) Acquire similar sized house, paid off in full
3) Put down payment on M5 Touring Wagon
4) Ask for forgiveness from wife later
5)Profit??

The wealthy will lease and keep jumping, everyone else will buy used as by the 4 year mark they are typically worth about half (expiring warranty). Then you just suck up the repairs.

If you get lucky, buyer two gets four years relatively trouble free and sells to MP at 35K and eight years old. MP uses it as a toy not a dd so rock solid reliability is less important.

Shhhh...I'm already waiting for @Evoex to get bored of the C43...35k I could swing! Better than a stupid Maverick!

As for power, I find that nearly 700hp is a nice way to cruise through rural traffic with authority. I get people aggro about getting passed, though .. I find that strange.

Do you daily your car? And is it awd or rwd?

I just put stage 1 on the wagon, 400whp is plenty for a daily. Time for cosmetics now!
Do you have any speed shops you can recommend? or do you use canned/email tunes?

Next year you should be able to find one for around that. Market isn't far off your current budget.

He uses that car for everything. It is a joy to see it used for its intended purpose. AWD.

As for shops, the brand matters as does your goals. A lot of people are doing remote tuning now where you start with a base tune and submit logs and tuner updates one specific to you. Longer development cycle and probably not as good as a proper dyno tune but cheaper and you have access to lots of options.

I couldnt find a Hellcat with the manual transmission last year so I ended up picking a Scatpack with the 6 speed that I now want to build up.

Both of my prior factory allocations with Dodge got cancelled mid last year.

I narrowed in on Champion Motors in Scarborough as Rob seems pretty approachable and doesnt have a chip on his shoulder like CJR Performance appears to have. Granted, CJR performance is the only Mopar performance shop here in ON.

Once I have enough to purchase forged pistons, a maggie TVS2650 and fuel pump I'll be asking around again. Comp cams have been backordered for the longest time now and I'm still waiting for my kooks long tube headers to arrive next month
