Well, got a dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. I though a long time about it but I need to be able to travel back to Canada so I ended up biting the bullet. I feel a little chilly this morning but apparently that's normal. Hopefully its not full of Alien DNA or Nanobots or something... LOL
Its interesting the approach that public health have proposed here. The Elderly and Front Line workers will get 2 doses. Everyone else will start off with one unless you are in a designated group.
I think its a numbers game. By giving people one dose it will go twice as far/quick, although its only 80% effective compared to 95% for 2 doses (at least these are claimed numbers by the drug companies). So by vaccinating 200 people at 80% that means that 160 will be protected, while vaccinating 100 people with 2 doses at 95% will mean that 95 people are protected.
Its logical I guess. I really do not like Newsom but I agree with him on this, and they really need to do something radical as the hospitals are overflowing
