Just on CP24 - over 10,000 Americans turned away at the border, most of whom declared they were coming for "sightseeing" and "shopping".

How oblivious do you need to be to not know that the border was closed to begin with?

And on the latest episode of "Immature asshat goes into store and goes into childish racist rant about masks"....

Congratulations, there's a summons out for you now and the police are telling you to get a lawyer and turn yourself in. Sure hope that criminal record and public shaming was worth it for ya. Slow clap.

Edit: Potentially 6 months in jail for this manchild. Hope he gets it.

So what are the rules for getting in?

"Essential workers, trade shipments and those reuniting with immediate family members" I understand the first two but the closure has been for four months. If you were meant to reunite it should have already happened.

A Florida couple got fined $1,000 each for failing to quarantine after crossing at Fort Erie to go to a seasonal property in Northern Ontario. Why are they even allowed to export their cesspool? What is so essential about getting to their cottage?

New Zealand after getting a zero zero count ended up with new cases after two infected sisters slipped in. I'm under the impression they sweet talked their way out of quarantine to a customs agent. Then the job got handed to the military and the crap stopped.

GET REKT.

I'm legit happy this happened!

Blue Jays will be playing at Rogers Centre. What a complete *&^*^*^ of a plan MLB has. The only upside is the season can probably only survive a few weeks before everybody is infected and they shut it down. I am very glad that I don't live in Toronto or Malton. The number of exposure points when they are are flying around teams is crazy.

More covidiots...

Since Ford seems to actually take Covid serious perhaps someone needs to suggest to him that some provincial legislation is introduced that carries serious enforceable penalties for people not following public health guidelines.

Want to walk into a store without a mask and be a dickhead about it? Fine. But the second you're identified the police will be at your door with your $10,000 fine. Enjoy!

Want to claim after the fact that it was for "medical reasons"? Fine, here's your ticket anyways, but if you'd like to file a court case to rebut it there's a nice government employee doctor who'd like you to come to his office next Friday at 9AM for a few hours of medical procedures to validate your claim. Oh, and we'll need a note from your family doctor detailing and validating your previous history of this medical issue as well, since it obviously didn't just come on all of a sudden, like, something you made up or anything, right?

A few scenarios handled like this and we'll have 100% compliance and no time and the maskholes who want to try to make this all about themselves will STFU...

I passed the point of gentle reminders and trying to change peoples minds about 4-6 weeks ago.

Honestly, we’re 4+ months into this, the science is getting pretty clear on what we should and shouldn’t be doing, and the internet is full of facts and info people can use to educate themselves about Covid19 until they’re eyeballs glaze over.

The percentage of people that still need to be gently educated versus the percentage that just need to be told to put on their big girl panties and act like a grown up is heavily skewed in the wrong direction. ?

You didn't answer in a meme. This doesn't count. Go back and get it right!!!

Lock her up in a dirty outhouse with no soap or water. Enjoy your rights b****.

In case the apologies have been accepted and enough time has passed that you've forgotten how bad our preparedness and response was, here's one reminder: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/heath-minister-emergency-stockpile-1.5530081

p.s. Did Dr. Tam hire the WE charity between October and December last year to do a study and analysis?

Typical government crap.

Did you know that the N95 mask was designed for construction workers to keep them from getting silicosis from sawing concrete etc?

Civil servants will not make decisions. They rely on rubber stamps that approve or disapprove, based on rigid numbers. You could be suffering from dehydration and they would let you die rather than give you a bottle of water that had a best before date of yesterday. There is no way any government employee is going to risk exposure to any liability by using their judgement. They might lose their overpaid, over protected jobs.

This is what happens when you put people in charge of things they don't understand. I'm always amazed how the government works in this regard, particularly during "Cabinet shuffles" when people are moved into new jobs that they really have zero idea how to manage, or experience with.

Almost all cabinet ministers rely on advisors and aides to coach them on what to say and when. A shuffle makes the Minister of Defense into the Minister of Health, a few briefing sessions and they're good to go. If you can fly a Cessna you can fly a Piper. All you need is a check ride.

Interesting that a pilot for a 737 isn't allowed to fly anything else because of the training required. But it's OK to crash a country or its budget.

Our PM and his minions are the ones we vote for but we rarely see the puppeteers that manipulate them.

Yes, and no. Depends on the willingness for that new grand poobah to listen to, accept, and act upon the advice of all those people that now work under him/her. If you get some "I know better than you do so shutup and do what I'm telling you to do" doofus, well, the underlings tend to just get exasperated eventually, roll their eyes, and say "Ok, sure, if you say so, I'll do that"....and then you get situations like this.

It's like people that bring their car to a mechanic and order the shop to "Replace the starter!"...only to get their car back and find out it didn't fix the problem they brought the car to the shop for to begin with. Had they just let the shop do it's job and listened to the advice of the people actually holding the tools they'd have been told it was a dead battery to begin with, not a dead starter. But they received an order and did what they were told to as they were not asked for their opinion or expertise first.
