The first Z06 was 385 HP (or about 345 RWHP), the second (cam, pup cat converters, tune etc...) was 405HP (or about 360-365RWHP).

The latest is a dry sump (or so they say) rated at 505HP. (one of the only cars to gain HP in the latest SAE dyno BS). This car puts down about 470 RWHP.

IIRC somebody has done a 10.9 on a slick and BONE STOCK car down to the paper filter. Heck, somebody even went 11.89 on a BONE stock 405HP Z06.

damn.. 470 on a wheel??? wow.... so this car wont slid side to side or bunny hop eh?? with that 12" street tire eh??? wow man i guess everybody should sell there lili toys and buy a vett

but once again it only cost 8g~10g to push 12sec with mazda :D inc. a car :D

Civics are too hardcore for me to take, stuck running against Neons.
 
I read the first 3 pages of this thread and then gave up reading. Can someone PLEASE tell me the outcome of this?? I have a CRAZY fast R1 and I have spray too. I'd be curious if he thinks he can beat me too? I still dont want to open my mouth too much, cause there ARE some crazy fast civics out there (why I dont know though). I've yet to see ANY civic beat a good 600 with a good rider (good = r6, cbr rr, and rider who KNOWS how to ride and launch). The unfortunate thing is that sometimes these guys in there front wheel drive jap specials, get beside some dummy on his katana or cbr f3 and then run him while he is still in top gear. Then we hear about how fast there rice machine is for the next year. I'd be curious to see how this pans out. If he's still around, I'd be game for lining up with my 230 hp R1?
 
it is IMPOSSIBLE for a civic to smoke a 600cc, i have a 750 gsxr, and ive smoked lamborghinis, ferraris, zo6, and a highly tuned rx7
and let me clyrify, this was on highway, 120+, so no of the line kickers
 
i am pretty sure most ferrari's, lambos, porsches will do 300km+ so unless a 600-750 will do 300 i am pretty sure the car wins in top speed. in a 1/4 mile a 600cc bike would win but not by much assuming both are stock. there are tons of cars that would smoke bikes, like supras, skylines, etc etc. bikes can be beat. unless your sitting on a 500hp busa or something then the next thing is funny cars lol.

well when do you see a supra or a skyline in toronto? lol
illigal cars :S, stupid laws! (well except the supra :p)

i know a bike can be beaten, but of a start line going 120, not yet
 
actually-i spent alot of years at the 1/4 mile track-i've seen a few civic's run in the high 9's believe it or not but these cars were making a little over 600hp-it would be tough for a 600cc to beat these kind of times-but then again-these civics were not street cars either-just drag cars only.

I hate to post on an old thread like this but I saw two Skylines at Cayuga 2 weeks ago. I think if they are older than 15 years old they can be imported.

I know 2 people that own, and drive Skylines as their daily rides during the summer. Drive to work every day.

Both imported from Japan, licensed and insured in Canada.
