Both Trudeau and Ford are raving liars and hypocrites, it's just the subject matter that may be different.

And illegal is illegal, whether it's pot or crack.

And just as a little reminder to all citizens of this fine country, you are innocent until proven guilty so let's allow due process to run it's course.

I can't find anything either Trudeau or Ford lied about, or how they are hypocrites. Can you explain?

BTW the problem people have with Ford isn't necessarily that he did anything illegal, it's the lack of good judgement. It's one of those qualities that people tend to value in their elected officials (smoking pot isn't a display of poor judgement in the minds of most people).

Bad judgement is skulking around the city covertly passing brown bags back and forth with your friend while pretending you don't know each other. Or having that friend go and beat up a couple people who are suspected of holding your incriminating video, while claiming that the video doesn't exist. Or frequently acting inebriated at public functions. Or barely missing out on getting kicked out of office by the grace of a sympathetic judge. Or just plain old yelling at everyone. And this is only AFTER he became mayor. The stuff before that is no better.

Ralph Klein acted somewhat the same , and he was one of Alberta's greatest Premiers.

I agree with what some others have said.. does he have some personal issues ? Sure he does, who Doesnt ?

does it affect his job ? no, i dont think it does..

this just shows you how badly certain people want him out of office.. He's for the People, and against Freeloading politicians

EVERY politician lies. Miller lied 100x more than ford. Miller's lied about his work as a mayor. Ford lied about personal issues. Why is lying about personal drug usage worse than lying about taxes for example?

PS - the guy sucks donkey b*** as a mayor...

This is the sad thing, in the future people will continue to defend his actions as mayor, arguing that he got booted only because of "that drug thing" but that he was an exemplary model in every other respect. Yup, people will be crazy.

The suburban vs. downtown argument is baseless. No one talked about suburban discontent until AFTER Ford was elected, because they needed to explain his victory somehow.

Actually I was hearing the downtown vs. the suburbs thing from the beginning of the election. Perhaps we just listen to different media outlets?

Maybe I have a poor memory but if there was any talk of an urban/suburban divide it would be subsequent to poll results showing Ford was favoured in the burbs, not prior.

It's public knowledge that he said he's against the gravy train. some people such as yourself have decided that's true. Based on what? Do you just believe anything he says, or do you judge things based on their merits? If you just blindly accept him at his word then you won't be able to demonstrate your claims.

I can't honestly remember who I voted for, was either Rossi or Smitherman. Obviously they didn't exactly stir my enthusiasm, they were all a bunch of rotten options but much better than Ford. Which partly explains how Ford got elected in the first place. But now his incredible hubris and irrationality is plain for everyone to see (except to those who believe everything he says) so he won't last long. That's the upside of Ford vs. the other candidates; they would have inflicted their harm on the city much more slowly, without imploding within 3 years.

I understand the photography part very well. But Ford doesn't have just split seconds of looking foolish. We're talking years.

anyways.. I think the dudes done a pretty good job, and at the end of the day, I really dont give a crap what he does in his spare time.
Imagine if your employer caught wind that you were out in the back alley cookin up, or a Photographer caught you coming out of a Gay Club
should you quit your job ? but that wont happen, becasue you are a nobody, that doesnt have 100,000 people wanting you to fail and lose your job, you dont have a camera on you 24/7.

If you did, every single thing you did would be looked at, and examined. I think the guy has done a pretty good job, and I think he's probably better than the rest, as well.
the truth here is, you love to whine and complain about everyone. You've already mentioned that you dont remember who you voted for, and that all 3 were bad.
so really, it doesnt matter who would be in office, you'd still complain.
