In all fairness, and I'm no fan of hers, she may have not had a choice.

Mandatory motorcycle riding for every person prior to getting their license. And I'll build a few racetracks for use by the motorcycling community...ah hell the power is already corrupting me to self interest...

I'm sorry, if you disagree on something as fundamental in the party platform as the Carbon Tax, you leave.

She will say and do anything at this point.

If she gets into power again, she will go back to her condescending ways and 'mother knows best' attitude.

The whole party is made of narcissists.

I agree. Most people would, and she should have if indeed she was against it.

The Liberal party is tainted and broken. Anyone going for the PM role right now is delusional if they think they can win. They're probably hoping to just minimize the damage to come during the next election and not lose ALL of their seats.

I hope they get torn down so hard, that there's nothing to rebuild. On the other hand I hope they stay intact to a certain point to give the Cons a minority so there's at least some type of checks and balances thing going on...at least force the kids to play together in the sandbox while pretending to like one another.

Generally I would agree, but Liberal policy has been so out to lunch, I don't want them to have any say in what happens to our country.

They all pushed us down this road of lunacy.

Imo, the current version of the liberal party is far worse than ndp. You know ndp has no connection to reality, you hope the libs are closer to balanced. JT destroyed the party and hurt the country for centuries. That is his legacy.

And Carney represents everything Trudeau is, but even more so. Unfortunately, and this blows my mind, Liberals think he is wonderful and will not only save the party but save them from the regressive, terrible, no-good, really awful Conservatives. It blows my mind because he represents EXACTLY the person that they hate - affluent banker that knocks elbows only with the world's elite.

At least carney has a brain and some useful education/life experience. JT/Freeland was dumb and dumbererer. I agree that his policies are likely the path to ruin for the country.

I have zero faith he will do anything for camada or normal citizens. He is 100% in it for himself and his buddies.

Libs kicked him out of the race. He is considering a challenge as the party execs are leaning on the scales to select the "next prime minister of canada". Is he also delusional? If he mounts a substantive challenge to the process, that can hurt the libs even more.

It's called politics. He's close to what we need, everything he has ever done in his life before now SCREAMS conservative... so they found a conservative that was willing to be the head of the Liberal Party??? I'd vote for him if he ran on the conservative ticket... why not as a liberal? I ain't voting for PP. My local conservative is a dick and I have to vote against her anyway.

A lifetime conservative running the liberal party: It MIGHT work. Is there is method to the madness (I HOPE). In some perverse way, it makes sense... or it makes perpetual argument where the liberals do even less than they do now. Who knows.
Maybe the liberal party will use him to show us they're "reining in" the party and becoming more centralist. A little less "save the unborn gay whales" and a little more business AND figure out how to keep the carbon tax.
Politics makes for strange bedfellows.
