I got a notification sticker from UPS on my front door.
Wonder what that could be ...
The WIRELESSWAVE Group in Canada commented that the newly released BlackBerry Z10 was the leading smartphone sold within its stores since the February 5th launch by BlackBerry.
"We are delighted with strong customer acceptance and customer experience within our stores of the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone," stated David Hartman, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of WIRELESSWAVE Group, GLENTEL Inc.
"We are thrilled with the launch success of the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in Canada," stated Andrew MacLeod, Managing Director of Canada at BlackBerry. "In fact, it was more than 50% better than any other launch day in our history in Canada. GLENTEL has been a strong partner of BlackBerry and the success of the BlackBerry Z10 in their Canadian retail locations is exceptional."
All of these newfangled touchscreen telephones look identical ...
Anyway, I have the new gizmo and started playing around with it but considering that I am moving up from the stone age, I have a learning curve ahead. It was pretty easy to get it set up on my wireless internet at home and pretty easy to start browsing and there was a Facebook app already built in, which I've played with a little. Activating the telephone required a phone call to Rogers ... seems it doesn't want to activate if the old cell phone that already has that phone number is still turned on good to go now. But I'm typing this from my laptop because as of right now, I can type an awful lot faster on a traditional keyboard and I can see a lot more on the screen. First impressions of the Z10 are pretty good.
It will require geek help to get it connected to email. I'm not even going to try. There's some passwords involved that I normally never use, which might be a problem ...
Next up, Samsung S 4?
Possible spy shot..
"New shiney thing" window is just over a month for bb.
.
And by March, BB will be releasing another "new shiney thing" that will appeal to the rest of the masses who are chomping at the bit.....
Advanced OS, and no silly home buttons like the others have.
PS, where is BB's stock again? $13.48 and on a steady tumble since bb10's release!!!

What exactly are we waiting for now to resurrect this company? Q1 or Q2 sales figures?
"Advanced OS", as in caught up to its contemporaries "advanced"? It is certainly nothing ahead of Jellybean!
March 14th launch. "New shiney thing" window is just over a month for bb.

Jellybean? when we see Jellybean in rocket ships, hospital programs, nuclear reactor, and medical machines and other functions where a true RTOS is required, and when Jellybean can boast these customers ( Acura, AdTran, AECL, Audi, BMW, BTI Photonics, Caterpillar, Chrysler, Ciena, Cisco Systems, Daewoo, DragonWave, Emerson Process Management, Fortna, General Electric, GM (On-Star is based on QNX so you know how QNX works with internet/intranet connecitivty in the mobile space!) Hyundai, Infinera, Intalysis, JDSU WaveReady, Kieback & Peter, Land Rover, Novar/Honeywell, Porsche, Precitech, Renault, Samsung, Saab, Tridium, and the US Postal Service) and I won't even go into Military applications................ then we can talk about Android Jellybean being advanced.
