I only told 2-3 members about it…so hopefully no one here bought it out from under me as per experience by @PrivatePilot with his Volt.

While I do NOT mention deals here that I am actively considering unless I intentionally want to kick the devil off my shoulder, the worst missed opportunity happened to me a few years ago looking at a MINT 919. Price was extremely reasonable, I thought I was being positive when I went to see it, but it was winter, so I thought I would just give the guy some peace and wait until after Christmas/New Years (I don't remember which it was) to seal the deal. TWO DAYS after I saw it I called him and he had sold it to someone else.

I ended up buying a cheaper beat-up 919 instead. Not over it

Ya...I'm not totally torn on the bike being sold...but it took some time to get things moving on my end and as I'm ready this morning...sent a message.

Guy took down the ad...but he hasn't responded to my question of 'did you sell it?' although he's got it on 'read' for a few hours now.

I feel like I'm being ghosted after a date ... without dinner :(

I will say that at that point I learned maybe a questionable lesson - if I go to look at a possibly too good to be true bike, I make sure to be prepared to buy it on the spot

Always best to ride as many as you can to see what you'll really like in the end. The right one will come along. Could always contact the owner of that Griso and see if you can test ride it also just so you know (I could go with as it's close by me if ya want).

Ya now I’m a little bummed about that Duc being gone…and I held out hope but is what it is. Not worth telling my wife I lost it because I had second thoughts thanks to her stupid door comment. I didn’t hear the shed as @Mad Mike recommended…

That Guzzi is both too much in price and insurance. The V7 is nice and I’ve seen a few. Maybe a few more Monsters to keep an eye on.

There’s this Scrambler in London but it doesn’t state mileage.
How about this Triumph Speed Twin? Beautiful looking bike and I know the owner if it interests you.
Thanks! That Triumph is gorgeous but I'm going to stick with my budget the best I can. And I had a chance to try out 1200cc yesterday...and while fun...too much for me 100%.

The Scramblers were updated considerably in 2019 so I'll keep looking for one in my range, although that XSR700 and the V7 has my interested peaked right now.
