Bikes with character...

High seat height as I recall on the XSR700 and even worse on the XSR900.

LOL, you realize the people who post on chat groups, forums, and YouTube are a very small percentage of actual customers, right? Pick any brand you like, Japanese or other, and you'll be able to find someone posting negatively about them.
If it wasn't for the chat Groups and Forums, I wouldn't have been able to keep my 2013 TE 511 running. Husqvarna was owned by BMW back then and the bike was released unfinished with many engineering problems. People on the Groups and Forums came together and basically finished the bike for BMW with parts they created.

We can go back and forth all day, every day...you're not going to convince anyone that Ducati is in the same league of reliability as the Japanese bikes.

The Hypermotard should have been recalled for multiple items.

All Ducati's should be recalled for the stalling issue. Someone is going to get killed.

When you hear... "the bike has character..." run!

Spend your money on the road, or spend it in the shop, your choice.

The guy formerly known as Mladin.

She has GOLD rearsets and its only track friendly.:LOL:

Any recommendation on a Ducati mechanic / dealership on the west end?

Closest shop to me is BARTZ and I’ll call when they open today.

I’m a researcher before I pull the trigger. Want to know what it’s gonna cost and some mentioned here also to do so.

I asked some and they’re not even interested in working on a Duc.
I think a full desmo belts and valve is like 1200-1500

The belts go by kilometres and years whichever come first, not sure how much belts replacements are.

Imo if the desmo service has been done already, with recent invoices/receipts, go for
It. Half the riding season is done already.

Season = Sezon in Polish

But the website does leave a lot to be desired. But if workmanship is good, I don’t judge.
That's a sign right there! But yes, I'm sure the people working on website design are different than the ones working on the bikes.

If there was one, I'd recommend it. Seriously, factor in taking it to Ken's until you actually find some place closer. From my place, it's an hour to Ken's vs. 30 minutes to Peninsula (not that I would ever use them). And then you can do the Royal Princess GP circuit on the way there or back.

Thanks. I live 10min from you so not much farther.

ace moto tech(adrian) is also really good(hes usually booked 6 months in advance though)
Because hes so busy I asked, and he recommended a former colleague who he also has complete trust in, on working on any bike (bike republic)

Awesome thanks for the reminder. I’ve had work done by Ace before. Right before his wife gave birth to their first child.
