Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

You guys think that that little bit of rain washed away all the salt?

I don't know about all of the salt but I think the roads are largely salt free now. But there's likely still sediment and sand in areas, especially where water pools as it runs off the road and near drainage basins etc so you still gotta be careful.

If you're going to wait for all the salt to go away, you'll be waiting until June. The roads are reasonably clean enough to ride now.

Amen to that! Just be more vigilant than usual as most cagers won't expect us to be out riding this early in the season.

Dunno...I'm still deciding. If we got the 30-40mm rain we were expecting sure...but only 4mm fell, and that's barely nothing. I'd say after 1-2 good hard rains 90% of it is gone, and that's normally when the bike comes out to play.

I was out for a few hours tonight. The roads out this way are clear except for a bit of sand grime in the usual spots on corners, etc. Zero issues, zero crap on my bike. Get out, ride! 17 degrees tomorrow! Me and a few friends are heading north tomorrow, should get a few hundred K on, first sorta-long trip of the season....in March. Bring it on. :)

We also didn't have much salt sprayed this year. Rain or not, the roads are reasonably clear in the Vaughan/Richmond Hill area.

Keswick/Newmarket roads are pretty clean. Some of the subdivision roads are a little grimy but the main roads are nice. Is it possible to have withdrawals from something you haven't gotten addicted to yet? I keep staring at my bike like it's gonna transform. A few more weeks and I'll be legal!

Nearly 300K today, did a huge loop with a friend - up to Cannington for a swap meet, over to Lindsay, up to Bobcaygeon (stopped for a coffee), down to Cavan through Millbrook and down to Bowmanville and home. Riding was GREAT, but it seemed weird passing still frozen lakes. Notably warmer in the north except around the lakes, the cold breeze flowing off them was amazing.

Great day, no complaints for March!

i was out a few hours today just up the country roads on guelph and appelby around burlington, some bell truck made a tight turn on me tho kinda shook my head and rode on.

Took the 800 out into the country on what passes for "twisties" around here:

Looking at the forecast this might be the last ride for a while. Wet, turning colder... blech.

Here you go...you can imagine you are here and it's 25 degrees and I can imagine I'm on your bike not the KLR :D

i might go for a rip today, the rain hasnt started and the clouds have been patchy..
Yeah the rain forest got pushed back to pretty much early Monday AM.

I was about to go out earlier but the temps and wind make it feel quite cold for both the body and the tires. Tuesday looks much better.
